Fish was fresh and well cooked. Interior was clean. Ordering was easy at the counter and three staff was efficient and helpful.

Not impressed with KettleFish in Gig Harbor. The menu looked good online so we gave it a shot. The restaurant is poorly laid out. The actual dining space is small by comparison to the rest of the restaurant. The service was mediocre. Not very helpful and not very friendly. The portions are small for the price. We ordered two meals, two drinks and two waters that came to almost $50.00 which is not astronomical but one would expect decent sized meal for that price. The prawn basket had five shrimp on a heap of greasy fries. They tasted great but again, it was literally five small shrimp. The clams, which were marble sized bits and pieces, not strips at all, were way overcooked and also accompanied by generous portion of greasy fries. The cocktail sauce and tartar sauce were very good. The people sitting next to us had the crab mac & cheese and a bowl of steamers. It looked pretty good and they seemed to enjoy it.

The portions are becoming smaller with less seafood in the dish. My last shrimp cocktail had only 2T of Shrimp with lots of celery and ~ 1.5T of cocktail sauce. It was quite disappointing. Also the computer system was upgraded and I lost all my previous points. That and in the past two months, rather than feel welcomed. I feel invisible. I am so disappointed. This used to be my favorite place to eat.
The food was great. The service took a lot longer than expected. We ordered online to save time and ended up waiting about 30 minutes after what was supposed to be the pickup time due to lack of supplies to make our meal. 2 out of the 4 staff seemed very aloof of customers. One of which was not in uniform, which didn't seem professional. That being said, I'd still definitely take a trip back for the food. It was pretty original and fresh for fast food.
Fish & chips were great! Ultra thin breading, lots of fish. Chowder good too!
We ordered three dishes the fish tacos only had little pieces of fish. The clam strips which were the smallest ones I've ever seen. Crab mac and cheese barely any crab. Definitely not like advertised.
Unfortunately overpriced. 2 orders of 2 thin pieces of fish and fries and 2 little 10oz apple juices totaling over $40. Food is decent but Ivar's is better and costs less. I'll stick to making the trip over the bridge for better deals and better food when i' in the mood. Was worth a shot.
Excellent clam chowder! The cod and chips was delicious and was perfectly cooked. We loved the clam chowder so much we bought extra to take home for dinner. Great place

Oh My Goodness!! The food was so good! Fish n Chips, chowder & clams were amazing! And a great beer /cider selection! So Yummy!
Friendly staff, small cod fillets, greasy fries, good tartar. Two ceiling fans over ordering area but zero fans in dining area, stagnant and too warm for us. We cut the meal short and left in search of a cool breeze.

Soggy fries and fish. I was under the impression it should be crispy, not soggy/wet with oil. Willing to give it another try maybe an off day, I will however specifically order my food to be extra crispy and well-drained from frying oil. Staff seems unhappy. ?
For my third visit, my family and I weren't actually able to eat, as their machine would not accept my credit card, some sort of technical issue. Ended up going to eat at the BBQ place across the street, where my card worked just fine.As for the food, it's a fish fry place. The food is good, but manage your expectations. I would have ordered the two piece cod, the fish tacos, two beers, and two kids meals with milk. Bill would have come to about $70, if I'd actually been able to spend my money there.Good and interesting canned beer selection.
I had the 2 piece cod fish n chips. Super flakey cod, and the batter was a crisp outer layer of texture. Not greasy at all. The deep fry here is perfected. Enjoy the photos of the interior and the cod!

What a find of a local seafood restaurant!!! That bowl of clam chowder was simply awesome! The fish and chips better than the other ones we had on our trip at half the cost! The crab macaroni was great!Have a local atmosphere. Just a perfect way to end a day of great hikes.

Stopped by for a quick bite. Service was good. Family enjoyed the Fish and chips. I wish their fries were fresh cut. Cesar Salad had too much dressing but was good. Dill dip was good. Root Beer on tap from local brewery.
