My favorite grocery store in Gig Harbor. Shopping here is feast for the eyes. Not only do I dash in for groceries, I also enjoy meeting up here with friends for coffee or a light meal. Finally, it is one of my favorite places to shop for gift items for foodies.
HORRIBLE CASHIER AND EVEN WORSE BAGGER! I go many times & today was the last straw! I continue to experience horrible attitudes form thru a kind cashier and snuffy bagger who can't even say hello back! Although they have the best cold cuts, everything else can be bought anywhere else for 10-40% cheaper. Although overpriced, I continually went but the attitudes I continue to receive trying to be pleasant was the final straw! One customer like me not ever going back won't make a difference but it will make a difference with how much I spend at the garden grocery down the street - never again and will spend my 15k or so a yr elsewhere on food!
Best soup and prime ribs you can find around here,stuff are highly trained,polite and friendly, wish give them 5 stars ,but too much salt in some dishes.
Otherwise my favorite place to eat.

Best food ever. The quality of this store is the very best. I always live walking in and seeing the pride they have with their displays, their local offerings and flavors. A bit expensive but worth it.

Helpful stuff when finding something
The store is clean. The layout is aesthetically pleasing. I understand the appeal. The three stars is for the quality of their items. I’ve purchased bread from the bakery three times now in various forms and each time it is incredibly stale. I just got back from Tokyo and the mini marts in Tokyo had better bakery items for 1/10th the price of Metropolitan. I think customers who frequent this store pay for the name and the experience, not the quality.

Met Market always has great produce, tasty food ready to go, & specialty as well as standard products. You might pay a bit more for a specific item, but the selection & great customer service more than makes up for it.
