Moctezuma's Mexican Restaurant & Tequila Bar

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent dining experience. My family and I were seated in the bar area, where we observed what appeared to be a manager obstructing the path of food runners while watching television. This resulted in repeated disturbances to our table, which was quite disruptive.

Despite the exceptional service and apologies from our waitress, the manager in question did not acknowledge or attempt to rectify the situation. Unfortunately, this negatively impacted my family's overall impression of the restaurant. I hope this feedback will be taken into consideration to prevent similar issues from occurring in the future.

Emily is the secret sauce at this location. My wife and i come often, and always enjoy the food and atmosphere, but our stay is so much better when Emily is working to brighten up our day.

Disgusting… soggy, small, overpriced, no flavor. The salad also listed cojita cheese and queso and had neither… super disappointing for $25.
The enchilada was literally 6 pieces of small chicken with a tortilla. That’s it. See pic. The entire order was $70. I won’t be returning.

Used to be a great place, but ever since they brought in a management company it has declined in many areas. Service in the bar is less than average. Seems like drastic cost cuts are affecting quality and even service. I see too much standing around and little mindfulness in being attentive to a customer. Sad it has declined.

So we stopped in for lunch after we did some shopping. I am not sure what was going on today but we experienced bad service a dirty table and the capper. Fly's landing on our food and drinks. Like I said before it didn't seem like the usual place we had visited before. We usually go to the tukwilla location. Between the two restaurants it's like night and day. It was so bad after we exited the front doors there was vomit on the ground! DO NOT GO HERE. NOT IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR CLEANLINESS AND COURTEOUS PROMPT SERVICE. HORROR SHOW. WILL NOT BE BACK.

We tried the margarita flight. There are some seasonal tastes. We had the watermelon, mango and spicy cucumber. All were perfect. The chips and salsa is great you get nice big size bowl of salsa. I got the steak but it came out well done when I wanted medium rare. Which was ok it was on a super hot plate and I waited to try it after I finished my drinks so I chop it up to that. Otherwise it was very well seasoned and tasted great. We had a good night. Was a Friday night and got a table right away and food quickly.

Had a late lunch here today and I don’t know who they have in the kitchen but refried beans are NOT supposed to be that spicy. As a born and raised New Mexican I'm able to deal with spicy, but have never had anything like that. Even the guacamole had straight up heat. It was pretty much inedible.

The music was way too loud to even have a conversation, and the staff was indifferent to our table. The floor was sticky everywhere I went, as well as the table.

I will NOT be coming back here.

Every time I go I leave underwhelmed. Every single time. Often the “steak” in the Molcajete is clearly been prepared and stored somewhere for
Quite some time before service. Staff is disorganized. Hostesses are never genuine in greeting you. This place has a lot of churn in staff and I have to believe its leadership. Just think what this resturant could do if it was just run a bit better! Just needs some personality and fun to get things done right an and stop it with the shortcuts! $30 for a plate with heat lamp jerky?!? Do better!
