Hello again my fellow reviewers,I am very pleased to do my review of the Puerto Vallarta Mexican restaurant in Gig Harbor today. My family and I have not eaten at this restaurant in 10 years even though we live about 7 minutes from it. And that was because we had a bad experience in 2014.We had a late lunch /dinner around 3:00 p.m. and for us it was a perfect time they were not very many people and it allowed me to take many pictures and check out the restaurant. First off they gave us some very fresh tortilla chips with salsa and also a bean dip which was absolutely delicious! I ended up getting a chicken and tortilla soup as an appetizer which was delicious and then we ordered a fiesta platter which came with taquitos and nachos and cheese and a few other items which is very delicious. We noticed that they are very generous with the portions so if you spend $15 or so dollars on a meal you definitely get your money's worth. I wanted to try their Pollo asado which I happen to be a big fan of, you can see all the pictures because I wanted to showsome highlights. Restaurants very lively I like the colors even the menus I was very thrilled to see they're almost like heavy leather and very quality made. So I can see how the restaurant does get crowded on Fridays and Saturdays. My wife had a margarita which she enjoyed but my daughter and I really enjoyed their regular lemonade. All I know is a very pleasurable experience especially after such a long hiatus! So I certainly do recommend going in and having a lunch or dinner. I think anyone would just really enjoy themselves. Just to put some perspective for the three of us with all the food we ate it came out to around $140James...

My food was disgusting I got the traditional enchiladas and it tasted like straight grease my husband and I ordered the same drink and they came out in to different consistencys!!! And the health raiting is "okay" never again!!! Also the waiter would start taking our order and then walk away right in the middle of it then would take forever to come back

The People working there were mildly nice , didn’t really check up on us. What was very disappointing was the food, for a lot of Hispanic people working there the food was terrible, the tortillas where so cold the carne asada was so hard to chew on and had the leftover taste of burnt on it. Another thing who serves pico de gallo and avocado on top of tacos… no lime or salsa to even add some taste, the rice had such big carrot choppings and big celery pieces since when do people add celery to rice? Besides the big carrots the rice was pretty good, Beans were okay but definitely still cold , got a very bad stomach ache from the food they gave us, the agua Fresca seemed like the cups hadn’t been wash correctly because you could taste soap mixed with horchata( very disgusting). Also the beans they served with chips was cold tooooo….?! Honestly the only good thing at this restaurant was the music. They had in the background playing

Decent looking inside, servers were good. Service was as fast n wasn't to busy on Saturday. Pretty mediocre food tho, got the fajitas for two plate, good fajitas, horrible tortillas like worse than mission tortillas for the flour it was insane n thought one had mold so I didn't eat them, rice n beans had to taste either. Vegetable n steak were good tho n chips n bean dip is nice for free, would not recommend for good food but was convenient at the time so still glad we went. Ppl say west WA has mid Mexican food n that's not always true but this is a good example

There is a strong odor coming from the bathrooms and in the lobby. It smells like sewer and it makes all the food also smell. We will not be going back to this location until they fix the issue. It smells disgusting.
