This gem of a country store and restaurant has local charm, a great limited menu, caring staff and is truly an institution. Make sure you get ice cream, check the local author's books, and stand out front to see the sunset.

The epitome of a down-home local grocery. No, there not much that is healthy, yet it's a local company.

Walking in i got a bad look and I was ignored while this woman working talked with what I assume was a rich local because she kept offering her services to him. It was quite awkward. I had to listen for about five minutes before she acknowledged me and got me a cup of ice cream. She slammed the ice cream door and slammed the front door to the building as she went to her car and took off before closing time. This was the first place I went to after getting out of the hospital and it was pretty bad

Overpriced, mid food. If you find yourself out here and you're looking for food there really aren't many options, so you pay $20 for a frozen burger or a little less than that for an even less appetizing hot dog. There's a bakery across the street that has some nice stuff, but the hours are limited.

The staff is friendly and attentive and it is full of good small town vibes. Definitely worth a stop.

10/10 just for the hash browns themselves. I have legitimately never had a better hashrown! Everything else was awesome as well. It's a beautiful cozy quiet atmosphere and it's a perfect stop away from the busyness found around the Puget Sound.
