This place is awesome it's just a husband and wife that runs the place and he sits there and gives you tastings I went from sober to buzzed in a matter of minutes and everything was really good and we ended up buying a couple bottles Go check it out if you're there

We were actually in Hoodsport to visit some wineries, but popped into the distillery on a whim, and I'm so glad we did! I didn't think I'd want to sample anything, but the liqueurs and spirits we tried were wonderful! Aquavit...who knew?! It tastes like icy, delicious black licorice happiness! I ended up leaving with a gnome bottle of the Raspberry (and had to force myself to stop at one). Absolutely delightful.

Wowzers, this distillery has many varieties of akavit and its cousins (vodka, gin), also whiskey and warming liquors. Chuck was a great host with rich knowledge of the production, products, places + people of inspiration. The incredibly enticing scents when you enter will keep you captive until you try a sample. A great destination to chat, sip, and revel in the experiences.
