We've been to Jak's twice now. It has good food and nice servers. What I can't get past however is how noisy it is. As you walk in the door, you are hit with a wall of sound. We didn't talk during dinner because we couldn't hear each other.

Jak's was very crowded and loud, but that is all part of its vibe. Wife had the halibut and I had the cheeseburger. Halibut looked and smelled good. The cheeseburger, with arugala and aioli, was excellent. The volume in the room was too loud to comfortably converse but that is all part of its appeal. A very homey local hang out.

We love going here for breakfast/brunch on the weekends and find the options to be really good! My favorites are the country fried chicken and the french toast. Large portions with enough for leftovers. Pricing for breakfast is pretty good and there is a range of options.

The servers are always so kind and welcoming. Sometimes they tend to get busy on the weekends.

We've been here for dinner once before too and the steak was good but...
