We are frequent to the Seattle/Seattle proper restaurant scene and have never found a place that the stuck out, until we went here. They deserve way more than 5 starts. From the second we walked in, we felt like family. Then when the food came, we were blown away. The owners and staff are the most amazing people. This is truly a gem of a place!
Not only is the food spectacular, the owner of Montalcino is amazing! Today is National Spumoni Day and I asked a month ago if he would be able to find spumoni ice cream to offer it as a dessert on Aug 21st. He gave me his cell number, I texted him days before our reservation of 6 to see if he found spumoni to serve and Rick responded “I found someone to make it for me.” Is that a thoughtful owner, or what! Amazing food and service. Great desserts for sharing. The ambiance was so intimate and warm. It really feels special being such a small restaurant, you feel like you're in Italy.
