Slim Chickens

The first few times getting a spicy chicken sandwich was good, a breaded and crispy fried filet loaded with spicy mayo. This time just a miserly smidgen of sauce, the chicken was a waded up ball, so I had a lump of chicken on one side and a wad of pickles on the other. Maybe some customers complained about the excess sauce dripping out, maybe there's some absentee supervision of the operation. $7 for a sliver of chicken on a bun? Come on man.

As someone frequently TDY to JBLM, Slim Chickens has become my go-to lunch spot — and for good reason. It’s consistently quick, clean, and satisfying. The tenders are hot and crispy, the wings pack legit flavor, and the dipping sauces actually feel curated, not generic. Add fries, toast, and a blue raspberry poweraide drink, and you’ve got a combo that just hits right — every time.

Even during the lunchtime rush, service stays efficient and the seating stays open. It’s the kind of place that understands soldiers and travelers want comfort food without the wait or fuss. Slim Chickens nails it.

I usually order to go and they consistently get my order wrong and charge full price. Three times now over the past few months, I've gotten the 5 and 5 meal. First time was with the wrong sauce and 2 wings. This time it was 5 wings and no tenders. Full price of the 5 and 5 meal

I placed my order with April S. and asked to add two sauces. She told me she couldn't add them and I would need to place a second order. So I placed the order and said, "I would like to add two sauces". When my food was ready, April had already placed two ranch sauces on my tray, which were her choices, not what I wanted or asked for. Before picking my tray up I asked if I can trade them for buffalo sauces and she said, "I can't do that because they're already on the counter outside our area". I told her she chose the sauces and that's not what I wanted but she refused to fix the situation.
