The waffles were awful. No flavor and were so tough I could barely cut them with a knife. The bacon wasn't thick, it was normal thickness and completely overcooked.

First time in today. Was warmly greeted and made to feel very welcome. I ordered a “Bold One” burger and it was fantastic!! Meat cooked just right plenty of delicious toppings. Fries were really good too!! I think I’ll try the onion rings next time! Since it was my first time in I was given a free Snickerdoodle cookie which also was amazing!! Super friendly staff that made you feel welcome and comfortable. I absolutely will become a regular customer at the Fireside!!

New owners really know what they’re doing. I lived & grew up in kalama & never really heard anything about this place but recently, have heard nothing but great things about it. Went for breakfast & it did not disappoint!! Food was amazing & mimosas were on point. Cannot wait to be back!!

The pancakes, French toast, is great, but I recommend the chicken fried steak with sausage gravy. It's is hand breaded when ordered. Also, the cinnamon rolls are made on site from scratch.
