Yan's Chinese Restaurant & Lounge

This was some of the worst fried rice. I got the pork fried rice and it had no seasoning whatsoever. It was brown rice with very little pork a tiny bit of egg and that was it. The only saving grace was the egg drop. Soup was somewhat good although the random chunks of flavorless pork didn’t help it. The waitress was a bit short with us when we were ordering, otherwise pleasant and very responsive. The interior was…. Well it was a Chinese restaurant.

This is one of our favorites places. No matter what time or day, the food is always fresh, fried food is good and oil is not old, like some other places. They were very hospitable and gracious today (9/3/2024), when they stayed opened for us ( I didn't know they closed at 8:30 pm and we arrived at 8:45 pm). Nice and friendly staff.

I ordered takeout and it was not cooked correctly and was gross. The people are not friendly. Chow mein was very slimy and couldn't get it down. Sweet and sour pork was covered in sweet and sour sauce and made the breading mushy. The egg drop soup was watered down.

Their General Taos chicken is one of the few my boyfriend will eat. I love their Triple Crown. There are a lot of different dishes on the menu that I've tried and have never been disappointed. Their staff is great and very friendly.

The restaurant was clean, a very good size place. The hostess wasn't much around but very polite. Unfortunately the food didn't have much flavor. I don't know if it was only what I ordered. I definitely don't think I will be back. Sorry ?

Parking: If it’s not busy you’ll be able to park fine it’s just a small parking lot in the front.

We love eating at this place. The owner waits the tables herself. She is amazing and fast! The food is delicious and always fresh. We tried another Chinese food restaurant once when Yans wasn’t open. We will never do that again. Yans is by far the best Chinese restaurant in Longview/

Food was excellent, atmosphere not so much. Would be nice if the menu had a bit a explanation on it for people who aren't sure of the items. Staff doesn't speak good EnglishI wouldn't order the tea.
