SO AMAZING. It was such a wonderful experience, and I hope whoever manages this place gives Linsey (I hope I am spelling it right) a huge raise. We came in around 10PM and she was so kind, attentive, and personable. All the cocktails were amazing, and I can see from the way she and the other bartender (whose name I didn’t catch unfortunately) were both amazing with service, skill, and professionalism. There was also a sense of friendliness and although the bar was slow when we were there (about 6ish people?), there was still a really lovely atmosphere fostered by the two working in how they engaged with customers and made sure everyone was taken care of. I can’t recommend this place enough. Also I’m so sorry if I got the name wrong, I was busy salivating over the amazing drinks she made.

The food is outstanding! The bartenders are awesome! They always have a smile and happy to recommend a drink or a dish. The Ribs are a must eat!Even more important, the service is awesome. Lynsey, what can I say…she’s kind and always willing to take care of her customers, even highly demand customers like me! She just smiles and ensures every customer leaves with a great experience! Thank you, Lynsey!!!

After a nice dinner and drinks, the art hanging throughout is a must see. After that a nice stroll down to Lake Washington is a nice night cap!I am a little perplexed as to why the new executive chef would take the amazing mac & cheese off the menu??????If you’re lucky enough to have Lynsey as your bartender/ server, tell Kevin said hi!

Just an absolute gem of a find. LOVE this hotel. Everyone was so wonderful. Pickleball courts too- amazing! The hiking on the property makes you feel like you are in the wilderness instead of metro Seattle. Creative drinks. Property is out of this world. I suspect in time this will become the go-to hotel in the Seattle area.

I wanted to love this place. On the positive side, it's in a beautiful woodsy area and an old monastery that's been refurbished. Five of us had brunch there a week ago at the restaurant. The two items that we had wanted after looking at their website (mushroom omelet and french toast with cream) were not available anymore. The mango juice that my husband ordered from the menu was also not available. We were there when they opened so not sure how they could have run out. Time to change the website. Even though we were told that the mushroom frittata was the same as the omelet, it was not. I've had frittatas in the past. This was the worst one that I have had. No taste, no seasoning, putting salt on it did not help. It looked like it was cooked in a big pan and then cut into pieces. The three of us who ordered it were all disappointed. The worst part was the service. While our waiter was initially friendly, he was missing or too busy for the rest of the time we were there. We had to flag someone down three times to take our order, to get some cream (which never came) for the coffee, and finally our bill. This is a restaurant with $$$ range menu. I would not recommend it. I do not enjoy writing negative reviews as you can tell from my history. But patrons who go to this place expecting great food and service should be spared. Please do better.

We spent 2 nights at this delightful hotel set in the St Edwards Park. Such an interesting building with beautiful old widows lighting the art pieces on two floors. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was light and well equipped overlooking the Chef’s Garden The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was large with plenty of towels (super large) robes and slippers. We had a snack and dinner in the Tonsorium Bar.Great cocktails and delightful staff. A celebration dinner in the Ceder and Elm was wonderful. A really delightful waitress who looked after us and was very informative. We spent time walking some of the trails. It is worth taking walking poles as some of the paths are very steep. Rewarded ourselves with some sorbet! The best strawberry and rhubarb sorbet I’ve ever tasted. We found the library to be a great oasis from the heat. Full of games tables and plenty of books. Snacks and water available to take. A really pleasant and relaxing stay.

And another not kids friendly place. We came group of 8 (4 adults and 4 kids) and hostess in very unfriendly way told us that we need to make a reservation a day on advance for big group … place was mostly empty. So conclusion is they just saw the kids and found the reason to not let us in.

My husband and I spent a night recently at The Lodge at Saint Edwards: it was our first visit and it was part of a short trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We are semi-retired and we are lucky to be able to travel extensively, both at home and abroad, some short and longer trips. The communication with the hotel was seamless: I got emails with information about the Lodge and available activities, restaurant, spa. I received text reminders and all my questions were answered promptly. Everyone we dealt with on staff was welcoming and helpful, from the valet to the front desk! The location of the Lodge is beautiful and exactly as we expected from the website… We truly enjoyed the many hikes, the beautiful and relaxing setting. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the renovation & restoration work is impeccable. We took our time admiring the 1st & 2nd floor art display & period photos and we also learned about the hotel’s history both in person and online. The library is a very nice touch: it was a great spot to relax, play a bobard game, and indulge in some healthy snacks and drinks. Our room, though small, was very well appointed. The bottle of sparkling wine ready for us for our anniversary was such a nice touch! We had our small Labradoodle with us and we also appreciated that a dog bed, bowls, and treats were waiting for her! The bed was very comfortable: everything in the room and bathroom (including the Grown Alchemist products, the bathrobes, linens) was perfect.

Whether you live in the Seattle area or visiting, The Lodge at St. Edwards is a fantastic place to go for both incredibly comfortable and well-appointed lodging and a delicious and impeccable dining experience! The staff are so attentive and friendly, the aesthetics of the hotel and grounds surrounding the historic building are immaculately maintained and the proximity to Seattle is so convenient! Can't recommend this place enough!

Went for a hike on a sunny day and ventured in to The Lodge at Saint Edwards for happy hour at the bar. The bartenders were genuine, hilarious, and attentive. The brussel sprouts were so delicious we even ate the tiny bits left on the plate. Currently planning a girls weekend here in the fall!

Cool place to end our retirement journey! This hotel did not exist five years ago when we moved ~ but it was an awesome getaway that made us feel like we were someplace new; even having lived here for 23 years. They did an amazing job of resorting this seminary and Catholic school that ran for 45 years, and was originally built in 1931. Then it became part of the State of Washington State Parks and in 2017 a public-private partnership was created to allow the old building to become a hotel. The attention to detail is outstanding and it is visually pleasing, comfortable, nice grounds, good food, excellent service. Definitely a place to take a staycation if you live close - or to encourage those visiting you to take some time here. We loved it ~ it was the perfect place to relax after a whirlwind week of socializing.

Driving towards the hotel you will likely be immediately impressed by its statue. The building is very unique, with a ton of history, all of which has been preserved to the best of its ability. The rooms have been beautifully designed with lovely decor touches that nod to the original architectural details. We stayed in the King room which was very spacious with a cozy bath and a corner view of the park - loved it! The restaurant's focus is on local and sustainable (they have a farm on-site and work with other farmers). This is also seen in the cocktail and drink menu in both of the bars. There is live music and high tea service on certain days of the week, and a library turned game room -- lots to do. The space has a ton of art across all floors and a QR-guided walking tour if you'd like to learn more about what the space used to be. There are many nice walks and trails around the park and on the warmer days, there are occasional community events in the open space near the hotel (music, food, etc). All of the staff have been very hospitable and friendly.

Stayed over one night to celebrate my wife's birthday. First time we've stayed and we LOVED this place. It's a true hidden gem. Every single person on the staff was friendly and helpful, our room was beautiful and full of interesting art and photography, the furnishings are splendidly selected and the restaurant was a wonderful surprise. We'll be back! We'd especially like to thank Vlada, who was our server in the restaurant. She was super charming and took great care of us.
