The lady who took my order wasn't friendly or welcoming and maybe said 2 words. When I said I wanted to dine in the lady's reaction was to seem surprised?.....I was the only dine in customer. I ordered the chicken teriyaki with katsu combo. I received mostly katsu and a few pieces of teriyaki chicken. Next time someone orders this combo provide more teriyaki chicken or call it the katsu combo with teriyaki chicken. The main meal description should have more of that item if you will not equally portion the combo, and not the other way around. I should have just ordered the teriyaki chicken. I did like that the food was served on a plate and there was metal fork and napkin provided. The lettuce salad was served separately on a small plate which I thought was different. The salad could easily be included with the main meal plate as there was space for it. A little more meat would have been appreciated too versus so much of the white rice. This was shy an $18.00 meal. Katsu was excellent but the sparse portion of teriyaki chicken was average and nothing to rave about as it was not freshly cooked and appeared to be left over from previously cooked chicken. I am finding it challenging to find a 5 star teriyaki restaurant ☹️.

The women in the register is super rude! If she doesn’t want to work don’t come to work, and if you have a restaurant have your height chairs for baby’s ready and available not as a part of a plants holders.

The restaruant is alright as far as decor and ambiance. Photo's of the menu are out of date so I will leave one with this review. I got the teryaki chicken skewer and a side of miso soup. The teryaki chicken was alright, grilled properly, but missing any real teryaki flavor. The teryaki sauce that came with it was bitter and watered down, not really good for dipping. The miso soup would have been much better if they used seaweed flakes instead of bitter chopped spring onion. The bitter onion taste did not mesh well with the miso and pretty much ruined it. I would recommend changing your soup garnish and using thicker sauce for the dipping cup and when cooking.

Very disappointed, food was not good, portions were not filling for $18.00 for one meal.

Not too expensive, solid stir frys, and an unreasonably good teriyaki sauce. Skip the salad though. It's... not great, but also not what I'm there for.

We LOVE Toshis and grew up on this but were disappointed - they FORGOT THE TERIYAKI SAUCE - so boooooooo on you guys. Do better please. We ate dry bowls of rice and chicken and were craving this stuff - we live in California and were excited. This brand has gone downhill.

It wasn't that great, like others said its smaller portions compared to price. It was strange to get teriyaki sauce on the side. Never seen that before. Also meat was very chewy, maybe go back to thin sliced instead of skewers.

This place is underrated for what they serve now. Sweet and kind staff behind the counter and in the kitchen. Huge portions, better quality chicken than many places. It's not the Toshi's I had in 1980's or 90's, but this location is better than most teriyaki spots in the area. Seattle teriyaki joints have institutionalized their own version of Americanized "teriyaki" for decades. It seems we've finally seen a rapid trend to more authentic Japanese food establishments in the Seattle area over the past decade. Instead of trips to Vancouver or SFO, we can now find real sushi, ramen, udon options in Seattle!. Yelp reviews have been all over the place while the Seattle old guard figures out how to acclimate their taste buds to more authentic Asian flavors and cultural service styles. Pay no mind, you'll get a good meal at this place.

We love this place! Our usual is spicy chicken teriyaki with fried rice. I get the smoky flavor from their fried rice which i absolutely love. The chicken is perfectly cooked and juicy! Their version of spicy chicken teriyaki is adding sriracha on the teriyaki chicken, which is ok with us :) High recommend this.

Incredibly rude. 0 customer service. Asked for a napkin without being a paying customer and got grief. It's a napkin. My daughter needed to blow her nose. Just lost a customer.

In 2023, how does a business still use styrofoam products?? From the styrofoam takeout container, to the styrofoam salad cup, and the plastic sauce cup, utensil and bag—my ENTIRE lunch waste is landfill-bound. Please do better. I have to do better, so unfortunately, I won’t be eating here again. I know the costs of running a business are high right now, but the costs of turning a blind eye to environmental issues are also high. Which side do you want to be on?
