My husband is from Lafayette and we stock up at Altha’s regularly. They have all the goods we love, especially the specialty meats from The Best Stop (Tasso, boudin, and andouille)!! The LA crawfish tails, big bag of hush puppies, and crawfish pies are great too. Don’t forget to grab some of their hot and ready gum-bou!!! It really is a taste of Acadiana in WA
Great Cajun store
This place is the best in Washington! No other place is more authentic and flavorful! Thank you for providing such a unique experience:)
Stopped in just to shop ended up with 2 bowls of Gumbou and some andouille and boudin sausage. The gumbou was so good that I had to make some at home hopefully it will be half as good as theirs
You looking for that good Louisiana food. This the place to be. And they have everything you need to make it at home. They came to stay not to play - Kiwi Kutz OWEEEE
Wonderful customer service not to mention any food items you want from Louisiana they have it in stock. Please try to hot boudin check out their website they do offer hot plates of Southern soul food on the weekends.
It’s like a candy store for southerners haha. Took my mom here and we spent $250 buying up the store. Don’t forget to get you a cup of gumbo with boudin. Some of the best gumbo I’ve had in the greater Seattle area.
Amazing! They have a huge selection of cajun, creole, and southern dishes - some of their own design such as gumbo with boudin they call gumbou. They have frozen fresh peas of many varieties: purple hull, crowder, butter peas, blackeyed. They have andouille, tasso, smoked sausages.
What a wonderful taste of home! As a transplant from the gulf I am constantly searching for a taste of home down here in the Seattle area. Well I found it!!
The food is fresh and well seasoned! They also have a wide variety of Louisiana delicacies!
Altha’s Louisiana Cajun Store & Deli is the REAL DEAL. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
As the daughter of a Master Chef, Culinary Arts Dean, BBQ Pit Master, and Sommelier who specialized in Cajun and Creole cuisine, I’ve been raised on the gold standard of Louisiana flavor—and let me tell you, Altha’s hits that standard and then some.
From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with Southern hospitality and the comforting smell of expertly seasoned food that’s been cooked with love. The portions? Generous. The prices? Fair. The flavor? Absolutely out of this world.
I especially have to shout out the Gumbou—yes, you read that right. Gumbo + Boudin = Gumbou. This creative, flavorful twist by the chef/owner is something special and unforgettable. Every bite tastes like home.
Beyond the deli, the store is a Cajun cooking treasure chest. Whether you’re looking for dressing mixes (Poche’s, Savoie’s, Richard’s), seasonings (Slap Ya Mama, Tony Chachere’s, Louisiana Fish Fry), or staples like red beans, jambalaya mix, dirty rice fixings, smoked sausage, alligator, boudin, smoked turkey necks, or even speckled butter beans and Crowder peas—they’ve got it all.
The pecan pie is also not to be missed. It’s rich, sticky, buttery perfection wrapped in flaky crust. One of the best I’ve had outside of Louisiana.
If you’re a homesick Southerner, a food-lover with high standards, or someone eager to try authentic Louisiana fare—this is where your soul will find satisfaction. Time and money very well spent.

Friendly folks, delicious food that is otherwise not sold here. The gumbo is outstanding!
I purchased some hog head cheese that was frozen. Never seen it frozen before. When it thawed it was gross. Along with that the frozen vegetables purchased were old. I didn't check the expiration date in store. The whole experience was disappointing.
Great place to pick southern products
Super friendly, delicious food and a great variety of meat/spices/seasonings. Will be returning 100%.
Great place!!!
