Ok, have to go for the empanadas, they are fantastic. We went on a Friday night for drinks and appetizers. Super quiet though only late afternoon ~6 which makes me nervous for long term, but apparently they do a great brunch/lunch business. Quaint place with the kitchen tucked in the front corner of the seating area. Nice bar with good selection. Though the menu was small, they were out of two of five entrees. We tried the empanada appetizer and they were fantastic. Perfect crust with tasty meat filling. They serve these several ways apparently but only tried the app on menu. Would definitely give it another shot. I hope to see more folks there next time as it's a little hidden. We only found it because we drove by one day and decided we should check it out.

Came here before a ShoWare event. What a great decision! All food is from scratch and the drinks are great too. Be sure to try the empanada. This is a secret grandma recipe, and assure it is the best you have ever tasted in every way. Eager to come back very soon!!!

Everything is a little strange during COVID 19, we were thrilled to find this place added additional outdoor seating. We came on a Saturday around 10 a.m. The street in front was closed for a farmer's market. There were three of us, we were seated right away. We shared an order of French Toast. I had my usual: toast, bacon [crispy], eggs, and potatoes. The potatoes are cool little wedges but are crispy. Bestie had biscuits and gravy and gf had veggie scramble. We all agreed the food was phenomenal, even if the experience was a bit bizarre. One thing that is not a reflection of Dogwood, the train honks and blows the horn and it is all kinds of LOUD and startling...maybe 3x an hour. Kind of a drag. But I wouldn't think it would be an issue eating inside.

Happened in on a Sat night during the little Kent street festival. Got the empanadas and taquitos and wow are they really good. Both hand made to order, we were extremely impressed and happy with how good they were. They also made a solid mojito. I'm certainly going to make this a regular joint so I can try out everything else out as well. Go and do this yourself and support your local businesses!

Very happy we stopped at this place finally. I had the Monte Cristo and we split the spinach and artichoke dip. Both were delicious - will be back for the dip for sure. Drinks were very reasonably priced. Atmosphere is top notch, tons of parking to the south.

Lovely!! Such a pretty back bar it's definitely vintage. The one woman kitchen is efficient and made a great breakfast croissant! And the ambiance is great. Will be back for a cocktail for sure! Please come see her and give her your business.

Really loved the vibe and decor of this place! It was so so cute! The food was also amazing and flavorful!! 5/5 for food and vibe. The staff on the other hand was 1/5. We came into the cafe hours before closing time, and the staff seemed annoyed we were there. They were rude about what we ordered (nothing special, they just apparently didn’t have any ready at the moment?) and told us that the first three items we tried to order weren’t available but later changed their minds and said it was. They stared at us from across the room and were whispering, and seemed to want to get back to the board games they were playing in the corner. They somehow managed to make US feel badly that we visited their cafe. Maybe it was just a bad day for them, but I probably won’t go back because of how uncomfortable we were made to feel for being there.
