I live near this establishment and I've been by it dozens of times. It was my birthday, so I justified spending the money on a meal away from home. Leading off on the oddest foot; the building itself is very distinctly from another time and is somewhat dilapidated, but I found it charming enough to remember it as a fun destination. I give the atmosphere high marks for that, but it is not fine dining or even a comfy seat (it just might give some people a hit of nostalgia, like me). The Food was very nice, with large portions. It will hit the spot if you're tired of fast food burgers. The price is about what I would expect, and the way things are, may be competitive with the inflated prices that other chains charge for inferior products. I ordered the Bacon Cheese large burger and the Philly Super. I would say they went a little heavy on the cheese on the Philly (can't believe I said that), but it was still very enjoyable. The service was very kind and patient in taking our order, and gave us recommendations. I saw a few reviews saying otherwise, but they were very nice the day I was there. If you are ordering online, it may say that some things are out of stock, but double check with the staff. I was sad when I saw the milkshakes out of stock online, but was pleased when they said it was available.

Don't let the advertisement fool you. This place IMHO served me n my family the best homemade burgers since Sammy's Burgers from the Central District went out of business years ago. If you from that area or town n greew up eating there ..then this place is the closest if you get in on a good day. I'm speaking from experience this place makes the best burgers unless they switched staff or business owners. The ones that worked here made the best burgers ..fries n shakes fish sandwiches in Seattle next to Red Robbins tavern burgers. I wouldn't tell u no lie. When I lived here this business got all my money cuz my kids loved the food from the chicken strips ..nuggets to the burgers sometimes it's hard to choose n they go pretty quick if the line isn't that long ...it's worth the wait....burgers are seasoned n cheese is tasty 😋 with the sauces

Can't understand English enough to get you the right order. Had multiple issues on multiple visits and they usually don't give receipt unless you ask. Recommend asking for your receipt. Food is good when you get what you ordered.

It’s a dive. No problem. I’ve gone there for over 30 years. Showed up at 8:36 and was refused to order. Said the kitchen was closed. Don’t advertise being open until 8:45 and not take orders 9 minutes before. Never again. Obviously, things have changed and they don’t care.
Have always passed by and thought Id give it a chance. Definitely not worth it. They “forget” to add things to your order even after repeating your order multiple times, then dont give you a receipt and charge you again when you ask for that item. I know i seen it on the screen when i paid the first time. And then they up-charge for every little thing. Not the experience i expected. Would not come back.
