Order lunch to go seafood tofu spicy soup. When got home to eat, there is no seafood just tofu and soup. Not sure if the kitchen forgot to add the seafood. 😡😡

This place has the best soondubu (tofu soup) in Seattle area. I always get the kalbi combo.

With mixed reviews I was hesitant to try Jang Soo, but I was actually blown away by how good it is!

They still serve fried fish as an appetizer/side dish - something you don’t see often nowadays. They serve rice in a stone pot - also rare. They refill your side dishes quickly and give generous refills. Their kimchi tastes fresh, like it may have been made in-house - it’s not very sour like the super fermented jars you get at the grocery store. The tofu soup tastes like it was actually made with broth - and in fact, my leftovers congealed/became gelatinous after being in the fridge.

Sure, it’s expensive and the portions aren’t overly large, but considering the price of all other restaurants and what you get, Jang Soo’s price is very fair for what you get.

My husband ordered a beef Bibimbap for me, but I am really disappointed. It was $20 and the dish was mostly just veggies and rice, teeny-tiny bits of beef. Which felt like quite a letdown given the price. I don’t recommend this place based on my experience.

The sundubu with its strong flavor and soup stock was absolutely delicious! The kimchi that comes with the garnish is also umami👍It's not just spicy, so I think it's delicious even if you don't like spicy food!

Delicious fried fish as a starter. Kalbi cooked to perfection. Tofu soup (I had the intestine one) was soft and scrumptious and perfect for a chilly evening. Service was attentive and staff was friendly. I will be coming back to try more items.

The restaurant service staffs are energetic and hardworking people however my food wasn’t that good in my standard as I have been many Korean restaurants. Kalbi was too overcooked to chew. my soup noodle was way too salty. The seafood pancakes weren’t crispy but were bland.

I really love this place. I saw the low reviews on Yelp and was skeptical but still wanted to try. I’m glad I did! The low reviews were for the customer service, but it was clearly really good: they were friendly and polite. They even helped me package my leftovers into to-go boxes when they saw me struggling. Now the food: absolutely delicious. It tastes authentic and comforting. Spicy is actually spicy. The Bangchan is so good; dare I say it’s probably the thing I’ll come back for, if not for the tofu stew! Kimchi is superb, but the star of the show is the cucumber kimchi (it’s sweet, sour, crunchy, and spicy!). Plus, it’s unlimited; all you have to do is ask. I got the mushroom tofu stew, which came with stone pot rice. It is a steal for $18, as the portion size is big. It might not look like it, but I was eating my meal for a good 30 minutes. At the end of it, I was absolutely stuffed. Highly recommend, too bad I live in Houston ?

Vegetarian options: There’s option(s) for vegetarians, and you can always ask the staff to switch or take out meat for you.

The food is delicious and the atmosphere is relaxing. I especially have high respects for the service. Even though it was peak hour when I ate my lunch, which can cause the service to be a bit slow, I can tell that the waiters are working very hard and doing their very best to provide good service for the diners. They are very commited to what they do. They all have my respect. Thank you!

Extremely overpriced for very average soondubu. Quality of food is very meh. Not sure where all these 4-5 star reviews are coming from. Server was pleasant enough.
