I’ve been skeptical to try another Teriyaki place as the past couple of ones I’ve been to have been disappointing. I looked at reviews and photos and saw that this spot looked really good so I decided to go here for lunch today. I’m so glad I did, this will be my new go to spot. I came in and ordered Chicken Teriyaki to go, it also came with a free can of soda which was nice. The restaurant was clean and the service was very quick and friendly. The Chicken Teriyaki came with two scoops of rice and a salad. This is the best chicken teriyaki I’ve had in years, the chicken was grilled perfectly, the sauce on the chicken was just right, and the salad was fresh and super crisp. If you’re craving some good Teriyaki like how you once remember it being definitely check out Kim’s Teriyaki you won’t be disappointed.

This was our first time going to Kim’s. We went for lunch midweek. The restaurant was full. The staff member was polite and professional. The food came out fresh and hot and tasted great! We ordered teriyaki, broccoli & grilled chicken and gyoza dishes. We received free soda with every meal. The restaurant is clean. They also received an EXCELLENT food and safety rating from the Dept of Public Health! This may be our new teriyaki place!

I come to this place often for lunch. Sometimes they are quite busy, and it’s easy to see why: great food and reasonable prices. I particularly like the chicken salad, but the chicken katsu is also a favorite, as is the fried rice and sweet and sour chicken from the Chinese menu.
Teriyaki is above average .. it comes with a free soda, Dr Pepper, Coca-Cola, Sprite, and others. There’s always a movie playing from Netflix and my teriyaki chicken has grill marks like it was fresh off the grill. I will definitely be back.
Very good and traditional done place is friendly and clean definitely a hit I got the teriyaki plate and my wife got the wonton soup both are 5 star in taste and portion size. Definitely a must try
One of my to go spots for lunch! Love the service as well. Always so courteous.
Update: 8 years later and it's still my favorite teriyaki spot !

Me and my coworkers love coming here for a lunch, always hits the spot. The owner of this establishment is very pleasant as well. Best teriyaki restaurant down South from Seattle hands down.
NO CHICKEN!! No chicken!!! Don't have chicken, ran out of chicken, DON'T HAVE ANY CHICKEN!!! What kind of teriyaki restaurant doesn't have chicken, runs out or didn't had enough or whaaaaaat??? Will never comeback here! Get your Ssss together!!!!
I absolutely love this place! With Seattle being swamped with teriyaki choices, I always end up back at Kim’s. They have all the flavor at a good price. Their menu is fairly small but everything they have that I’ve tried is yummy! Which is most, it not all of the menu. Been going to this place since 2017 and it’s been good every time.
For $12-15 you get a pretty large serving of rice, coleslaw and meat of your choice. As far as Kent goes, great teriyaki!

I went to Kim's because I heard it had great Seattle-style teriyaki and I've been looking for a new teriyaki place closer to home than my current go-to place. It's good teriyaki, but not a true Seattle-style teriyaki.
I ordered the chicken/beef teriyaki combo and it didn't really hit the spot. The chicken was a bit dry, but the beef was perfectly cooked. Both were well marinated. Unfortunately, the teriyaki sauce that Seattle-style is known for was barely present. The sauce was also way too salty, super thin, more like a light glaze than a sauce, and there was almost none of it present. It pretty much ran off the meat and left a very tiny puddle. I actually spent time debating with myself if this was, indeed, a sauce and not the marinade, but I noticed one side of the chicken was slightly shinier than the other, so I felt this was added after cooking and must be a sauce.
My hunt continues.
