Being from Hawaii, I really wanted to like this place. But the rice was dry and hard like it has been sitting around for hours, some pieces of rice were crunchy…that’s how dry it was. Smallest piece of kalbi I’ve seen in my life. And to top it off, they managed to make chicken thigh dry.

been here twice. portions are a bit janky compared to other places. Just ordered the kalua laulau and the meat was dry and crunchy. this is the last time I am coming to this location. horrible

The only people rating this place higher than 2 stars are either friends with the owner or people that have never been to another L&L location.

This place is by far the worst L&L spot I’ve ever been to. The portions are small, the katsu sauce is watered down, the mac salad is watered down, the musubi barely has any meat, and again, the portions are crazy small. Go to any other L&L location.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!
If I could give this place 0.5 stars, I would. The sanitation is awful, and the food is clearly leftovers from the previous day. I went for lunch with friends, and the experience was nothing short of terrible.

I ordered shrimp, which was not only overpriced but also overcooked and tasted stale—like it had been sitting around since yesterday. When I politely brought this to the server’s attention, I expected some sort of effort to fix the situation. Instead, all I got was a dismissive "I'll tell them" with no follow-up.

It didn't stop there. We asked for something as simple as sauce, and the same server, who looked like he'd rather be anywhere else, repeated the same line, "I'll tell them"—again, with no result.

Save your money, time, and stomach. This place doesn’t care about you, your meal, or basic customer service.

I've never had a chicken curry katsu was terrible. Like watery curry essence. Ended up just making the chicken completely soggy. Inedible. Don't come here.

I go there a couple times a month. Some of the best chicken katsu around. Don't skip the kalua pork and cabbage.

The food was decent. It was fresh and hot. Large portion sizes for the prices. The service was a bit slow at the location I went to but only one guy to ring up and serve was there at the time. I would eat here again but not my first choice.

Love to order from here for work, but recently it has gone downhill in terms of service and food quality. I placed an online order at 8:30AM, for a pickup at 12 noon. I would've thought, with enough time in advance that it wouldn't be a hassle to make 10 lunches. But as soon as I walk in and state who I am picking up for, I am met with an attitude and why would I place a large order during the lunch hour? I didn't engage, and patiently waited an extra 15 minutes after it was supposed to be ready.
It isn't the customers fault that the kitchen did not manage their time to work on scheduled pickup orders along with walk in and dine in. I hope the employees here can learn to check their emotions at the door, or to learn how to handle working lunch rushes.

Great Hawaiian food, reasonably priced. Nothing to knock your socks off but consistent and always good. The kinda go to place for an actual meal that is quick serve. Try the loco moco if you want great comfort food.

Here’s the story of my exciting DoorDash pick up order with L AND L specifically in KENT. I ordered it online for pick up in store.

I work deals and consult with clients for a living and was unable to pick it up for 45 minutes. I received multiple calls from them asking when it will get picked up… I was with a client for longer than I had expected. By the time I arrived, I mentioned I was here for pick up, the guy at the front had a smirk on his face, not a smile for happiness but a smirk and said “finally.” He got the bag out of what I can presume is a heater unit to keep the food warmed, and placed it on the other end of the table to where I had to walk over to.

By the time I got back, the macaroni salad amount was abysmal, the rice portions were small, and same with the chicken Katsu I had ordered.

To conclude, I would avoid this place. The one in Renton is much nicer, has larger portions of both rice and chicken Katsu AND their Mac salad. And not to mention, friendlier staff.

The guy at the front will offer a hilarious experience. And I’m not talking about a good one.

the food is quite good. I just wish they would serve the food on a plate when dining in, instead of the styrofoam material. the cheap plastic fork and knife aren't the easiest to use either.
