I used to love this place and have been going since they opened years ago. Recently in the past couple months, the quality has gone downhill. I have gone twice in the past couple months and noticed the same things.
I got a chirashi bowl, and half the rice was soggy and red from one of the fish’s juices leaking onto the rice. The other portion of rice was dry. The rice isn’t consistent and I have been getting either really soggy rice or really dry rice for my sushi.
The sushi rolls like the Musashi roll or Dragon roll used to be bigger and thicker in width, but now they are cutting these rolls so THIN that the roll is falling apart when you pick it up. There is less fish in the rolls now, I got an eel roll where it was such a small amount of eel per roll that it was comical. Similar reduction of fish has happened in my previous orders in rolls as well.
You can see the differences in photos from years ago to more recent photos of food to see that the slices of sashimi are getting thinner, they are cutting down on sushi fish and the rolls are getting more smaller and very thinly cut.
These quality changes are disappointing. I have gone back recently hoping things would be better, unfortunately it is only going down hill. I will need to find another sushi place near me that I like.

Ordered takeout from here last week, and haven’t stopped thinking about it since. Salmon nigiri is always my favorite, and theirs is fresh and delicious, great fish to rice ratio, large pieces of salmon, and very reasonably priced! Everything I ordered was delicious. It was packaged well. And they had my order ready quickly. Will definitely be back!

I was making a delivery with door dash. I asked if I could use the restroom mind you I'm a black woman she replied the restroom is down. She told the wait would be 5 mins. I said ok to sit down. I've seen a white man come from the restroom. I thought your restrooms were down. Very racist I will not be returning to eat or to pick up an order. I will inform everyone I know as well. It's 2025 and we still live in a racist world. It's sad

I have always enjoyed the chirashi here and often ordered their grilled fish. It is definitely a hidden gem and definitely not a waste of a drive. Great quality.

I'm genuinely surprised by the positive reviews here — perhaps some people haven't experienced better sushi options. I ordered a variety of rolls for a get-together at home, and unfortunately, the quality was very disappointing.
The Salmon & Cheese Roll wasn’t made with fresh salmon as one would expect — it tasted like canned fish & cheese, which was an odd and unappetizing combination. The Musashi Roll featured canned tuna on top, which looked and tasted unappealing.
Overall, the ingredients used felt low-quality, and the flavors did not meet even basic expectations for decent sushi. This might honestly be some of the worst sushi I’ve had in Kent. I strongly suggest the restaurant re-evaluate the quality of their ingredients and presentation if they want to improve customer satisfaction.

Discovered this gem with a friend a few weeks ago and plan to go back. Lunch was terrific and the service was attentive and friendly.

Their website says they’re open…. Drove WAY out of the way in traffic on a Wednesday. Worker sitting on the floor in the restaurant with the doors unlocked at 4pm. She said they don’t open until 5
I love this restaurant. The place is warm and cozy.I tried Chirashi bowl and musashi roll that are signature menus. I’ve tried alot and the taste is excellent. The price is affordable and the foods are qualified. It is a must try.

My absolute favorite sushi place in Kent, and probably in the surrounding areas too. The fish is always fresh, the portions are always so generous and they always fulfill my requests whenever I want to tweak the order. The pricing is really good too in my opinion. The restaurant itself looks clean with a very cozy atmosphere. I've dined in, done take out, and ordered delivery plenty of times and they never disappoint. Also they might have the best spicy mayo recipe I've ever tried.

Wow, the Musashi and dragon rolls were truly exceptional! I couldn't resist finishing every last bite. They were so good that I couldn't leave without ordering more to take home. Highly recommend trying them if you get the chance!
