This place is not fancy, but I gave 5 stars for atmosphere because it was clean, spacious, and they played music (I'm assuming the songs were in Vietnamese). I believe there were two t.v.'s. There's a laid back vibe, you can check out other photos, to confirm the view that this spot is casual. Now, the food... as everyone else has commented, it's excellent. Simple but full of flavor. Not greasy. I had one dish: tofu with rice. The vegetables were more for cleansing the palate. They were separated (carrot, daikon, cucumber) and not a huge portion. The grilled tofu was plentiful, firm, and did very flavorful. I didn't really need the sauces that came with it. Why 5 stars? Sounds like just an average meal right? I've eaten lots of Vietnamese cuisine and this was the best, but that's not the only reason for the 5 stars. The service! I had a rough time before entering the restaurant and just wanted some warm food and quiet. I asked for a table, but decided that I should get my food to go. The young man who took my order pointed out that my dish would come with fish sauce and asked if I wanted soy sauce instead. I didn't have to ask. He understood that as I was ordering a tofu dish, I might have dietary restrictions. That's top service. That's the thing that would make me drive 30 minutes out of my way, to eat there again. Great food and Excellent service.

This is a nice gem for anyone who likes Phó. The restaurant is located right in a strip mall in Kent that will bring back nostalgia for anyone who enjoyed late night neighborhood food. The staff and food are wonderful as well. I'd say more but, the food was so good that I'm going to rest. In short, take some time to support them AND their prices are affordable pre-tariff prices!

My family have been going to Catsang since they opened. We were actually their first customer. Their food is great and still is that is why I'm still giving them 4 stars; however, their chicken katsu was disappointing tonight. It was so thin that it was hard to eat, like chewing on leather coated in panko. 😌 Probably because it was so thin that it dried up after it was fried. Couldn't tell if there was even any meat in it. It was not always like this thin. Again, I love this place and hopefully they read this and address this issue.

Ordered Chicken Katsu, got home and literally there is no chicken inside, just skin and crust. Feels like I got scammed.
I have been coming here for years! The pho is delicious, especially the soup.I believe it’s very authentic, according to my Vietnamese host students, with less sugar added. Last night, I got the broken rice with pork chops, and it was super delicious. Photo below.
Also, we entered really late and were still eating after they closed. I know they wanted to go home, but they were not rude and were nice about it. I try not to do that as a rule, but circumstances led to that last night.

Pho | Rice noodle good texture. Speed, < 5 minutes. Service brief and quick. Authentic plate. Beef broth didn't require sauce. Would come back.
