It's a non stop free for all shop lifters. Door is on the other side from the self check out. The manager is a complete idiot. People fill up their carts with there own bags of stuff and walk right out. Nobody seems to care. They just let them walk right out with stuff. I can't do business at a place that allows that. The business just raises their prices and passes it on to their paying customers. Why would you not have the door open near where your employees stand. You can grab what ever you want and walk out uncontested. It's not just crack heads and low lifes. It's like normal people doing their shopping also. Just walking out with a cart full of stuff.

I've been coming to this Safeway for years. It's convenient and right by my house. It's not always the cleanest or the most stocked etc but it has what I need. Today there was one cashier, Mama. LOVE HER! I decided to take my items to self checkout since it's busy. I had two ground beef with a 30%coupon, it's easy to scan but it needs an employee to scan their badge. Danny helped me with both items. I keep scanning and I wanted to void 2 items since it was placed in the wrong spot (in clearance) which I understand. It happens all the time. I click void and the item- all Danny has to do it scan his badge. He comes up "WHAT NOW?" I politely asked "are you having a bad day Danny?" He ignores me. He doesn't even void my two items, he said I'm good to go. But since I didn't want his bad attitude and customer service near me I paid for all my items and went in line to get it refunded. Of course he makes his way to customer service. He ignores me so instead I ask a nice young lady by self check out and she refunded me for my two items and apologized. Danny I'm sorry to have been an inconvenience on his morning. I suggest you you change your attitude Danny and have a wonderful day!

Just paid 80 bucks for a beggar's groceries, just watch out they been going to the store multiple times throughout the day. Employees hasn't done anything. Scammers.

Absolute garbage customer service in the last year- two years at least. Most recently at self checkout (now the only option due to lack of staff so no check lines open) when checking out items and items aren't ringing up as priced on the shelf, the self checkout attendant does not make any effort to have a floor associate to double check the price for price override forcing me to make the choice between overpaying for an item that I needed that is clearly not ringing up as the price marked, or to leave the item and inconvenience myself to go to different stores to get said items. This is my closest location to home but I constantly find myself driving further out in the opposite direction to the Fairwood location just to get the items I need at the price I expect, along with getting decent customer service which is impossible to get at this Kent location.

I checked in early and was given a door right away. Unloading took about an hour. Please be respectful if you park here overnight. It would be a shame to not be able to sleep here. Thank you SLW staff. I look forward to coming back.

This Safeway Continues to totally amaze me, Store #1294 in Kent Wa on Washington Ave. The reason I keep going back is that it's the closest store 2 me and Safeway is the only grocery store in my area that sells certain items.On March 24th, I went into the store for a few items and decided to also pick-up the Chicken Tenders on the $5 Friday special. This item is advertised in the Flyer and has a $5 advertisement on the hot display. $5 for a pound.The Deli was out of the tenders, so I went ahead did my shopping and went back towards the end to get the tenders. I told the lady that I wanted wa pound of the chicken tenders, the $5 Friday special, I also told her if it was little over, that's fine.Here's where things turn to the dark side. At the register (here you have to pay at deli for deli food), she rings me up, I put my number in and it comes up for $9.99. I mentioned the Friday sale and she tells me that it is only on Monday's. I show both the add and the counter top display and she starts to argue me, that is not correct, and she make several comments in Spanish to another lady, they didn't think I knew what was being said.This happened at around 2:30 in the afternoon, and instead of arguing and fighting with them for about $5, I turned and left and went to check out, streaming. The self-check cashier could clearly see I was clearly upset about something going on and stayed away from me until the end. At the end, I took and threw pretty much everything into the basket, damaging most of my produce, which is my fault.Really it was pretty much my fault for even going back in this Safeway, but sometimes I have but no choice,because of location and certain items they only carry. I will however not worry about certain items any longer and not come back to this Safeway.Please don't ask me to call about this, if you really reach out, my contact information is my account. It's bad enough most customers have to check themselves out at the grocery now because they always only have 1 person with an open lane, but it takes forever to self checkout here. It can be several minutes waiting for a staff member if you need them, and if there is one, they are completely aloof. I usually come here since it's closest to my home, but this has been a persistent issue. I also came here for eye contact solution but there is none. I'm not coming to this location anymore.

The Safeway pharmacy at 108th & 208th charges (a lot more) than the Good Rx prices. If you have the Good Rx app. Always open it to see the price! If you show them the price on the app they will honor the price (sometimes) other times they will say "will, this is our price". This needs to be addressed at the highest level. Been happening for 3 years that I am aware of. When I asked "why is Safeway trying to rip the customer off"? The reply was "why is Good Rx trying to rip Safeway off". My question now is, how many other customers would like to make signs and protest this - Out front with the media present?

The staff is so nice nd helpful but only negative point is that they take too long for unloading like 2 to 3 hrs. Overnight parking available Clean Restroom

Why is everyone out of cremini mushrooms?!?! You can get the white mushrooms, no problem. You can get portobello mushrooms, no problem. But creminis?? It's at the point I have a hard time sourcing fresh ones even though they are all the exact same mushroom, it's all about the grow time. This Safeway has basically become my cremini store. They don't always have them, but they are much more likely to than a lot of the other stores...and they're actually fresh! As for everything else in the store? It's a Safeway, you've been to at least one before, surely. This location is overall quite clean and I have no complaints about that. Signup for the club card if you want the sales price on the shelf. This location has a strange layout and I get a bit lost here and there...which I'm sure they do on purpose because like many other people, I love me some impulse snackage. Self checkout has 1 line for 5 (?) machines which help things move smoothly. The times I've needed an attendant to step in have all been pleasant. The biggest thing I've noticed recently: take note of the prices! Of the things I buy regularly some of them went from Safeway being the cheapest to now being double (literally) the price than other grocery stores!!!

It was such a bad day for me,I was treated very bad by the black lady ,I guess her name something like mama D not very sure but she has terrible service,I gave her my reward card and she she did not scan for the first order.I insisted for the second order only in rude manner she took my card and instead of giving It back to me, she threw it on the counter . I asked her question and she never even looked at but she could talk to other white lady who was behind me .This is a discrimination of high class ,I wish she was not black and ugly as I. Never go back to that store.

Please save yourself the time & just go grocery shopping. DO NOT USE PICK UP. I stopped at this location on my way home thinking it would be quick & easy & save me time. 20 min down the road I get a call saying that they forgot half my order. So I had to come back. Then I go over the order myself, checking off my receipt & im still missing items. After a ridiculous phone conversation with Kylie, saying she got all my items & im not missing anything, I walk into the store myself to get my missing items. Now re-paying for items I already paid for. Worst customer service. I'm not sure why I try to make my life easier when it always makes it more difficult. I'll continue to shop on my own, people are useless. A 10 min pick up turned into 45 mins.

Really pleasant to speak with and although I was indecisive she gave me information on sizing of cakes, accessibility, filling options and more. Worst service ever. Constantly rude employees and unhelpful staff. Can't get this store staffed even before Covid shortage. Long lanes always Today went to play lottery at 9:14 ( sign is showing lottery/customer service hours 9-7pm). Lady came out at 9:22 and told me they don't open till 9:30! I pointed the sign and she said I don't know, no one is scheduled for another 8 minutes...

Worst run Safeway I've experienced in a long time. They never have enough checkers at when it's most busiest. Not prepared. Example, with chicken monday, always have to wait. When you know you're having a weekly sale you think they would know how much to sell. A trend every week. I would of shop with other grocery stores if they were closer.
