2 stars because they use water in there cheap horchata mix. Terrible bring back the old stuff. Burrito was good tho.

It's an Azteca, a small chain Mexican place. Not disappointed, not amazed.

Everything was so soul shatteringly amazing, our waitress was Estela and she was so on top of things and kind (please give her a raise).

Specifically went for sopapilla, unfortunately I would advise to pass on the sopapilla. Dough was old and over cooked.

Food was what it was considering price, good portion at least.

Worst service I experienced ever.

We visited this restaurant for lunch as a group of four, expecting a great experience based on its food and service ratings. Unfortunately, our visit was extremely disappointing.

Upon arrival, we were given a table that was not suitable for us. When we requested a different one, we were told that other tables were not available for dine-in, leaving us with no choice but to accept the original table.

The service was by far the worst we have ever experienced in any restaurant. The servers did not treat us like valued customers and showed a complete lack of attentiveness. When we tried to request spoons from a server who was cleaning a nearby table, she completely ignored us and made no effort to assist.

As for the food, it was just average—not bad, but nothing exceptional. However, the poor service overshadowed everything else. Given our experience, we will definitely not be returning. Thank you.

This place is no longer as it used to be, our bad experience started when we entered this restaurant at around 12 noon for lunch. We were given dinner menu since the server said lunch menu was no longer available. After selecting our food options from the dinner menu we asked the server if we can order small portions which was okayed by the server. Upon asking about the prices for a small portions the server appeared not sure what to say to us, but she excused herself for a minute and came back with lunch menus. That was surprising to us given what she said earlier, and when asked for explanation about the availability of the lunch menu all of the sudden, the explanation we were given was that the manager order to offer dinner menu because it has higher prices, that was really interesting. We waited for our food after we made our order from the lunch menu only to be served with food we did not order, so it was clear and confirmed by the server that was her mistake. We all make mistakes, but when a bad server attitude was mixed with this whole experience, we decided not to come back to this restaurant anymore.

staff are always super friendly and kind! food is delicious, my family is a huge fan of the nachos. they have really great non-alcoholic mocktails as well! thank you!!

*January 2025 - Still the best restaurant And staff in Kirkland!! 8 months later and we still love this place!! Only now, it’s completely prepped for post COVID-19 dinning and taking every precaution to keep customers and staff safe and healthy—all while maintaining the same level of delicious food and wonderful service. I LOVE this location!! Best place to dine in, on the Eastside! They’re the Starbucks of local Mexican joints, always on point. Their staff is the kindest and friendliest out of any where I have ever eaten. We consider ourselves regulars so to us they are like family. Your food always arrives so fast it seems impossible. Unlike some other local places, they have no problem substituting menu items for your food restrictions or preferences—I do not eat cilantro and my food is always perfect. Everyone works as a team to be fast and efficient, no one wants you to be hungry or thirsty for longer than necessary and I can’t say that about any other place. Their hours are great because my husband works graveyard and they’re open early/close late. I literally love this place and their people. Any negative reviews seem shocking to me, my husband and I eat here once a week (sometimes more lol) and I’ve only heard one negative review about food in over 5 years and it was about fajitas (I hate fajitas but they always smell delicious at Azteca). Sign up for their coupons with your phone number, it took us four years to realize this but you get a surprise after 9 visits! We love you Kirkland Azteca! 😀

Disclaimer this is only for one dish the mocajte’ was severely disappointing highly recommend getting this rich and authentic flavored dish from a “real” Mexican restaurant I will say the blanco’ burrito is a 10/10 but for a truly authentic traditional dish such as the mocajete’ it was a complete disappointment :/
