Babai Dosa delivered appetizers to our Sangeet and our guests loved the food. Great service, and quality food. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for fair priced and high quality appetizers.

Paneer dosa was excellent, fortified with ghee. Peanut chutney was good. Podi dosa was very good, crisp with tasty podi.
Free chai was greatly appreciated for the cold day
Sambar was not advertised so didn't expect it, but having hot sambar for the cold day would take this dosa spot to the next level.

This food truck has a simple, focused menu and serves up classic dosas with generous portions. There’s no seating area, so it’s more of a grab-and-go experience, and wait times can be a bit long—we waited about an hour. The food has a homemade quality that keeps you coming back. I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu, and they do add quite a bit of ghee to each dosa, it adds a nice richness to the flavor. The taste can vary a little with each visit is what I experienced, which gives it that hand-prepared feel, though consistency could be improved. Overall, for the price, it’s a decent spot if you’re in the mood for dosa, but it could benefit from a bit more consistency on what they plate and slightly shorter wait times.

Decently priced dosa at a food truck.
We got their nellore masala dosa and chicken dosa.
The nellore dosa was nice and spicy but the chicken dosa was mediocre at best. The quantity of chicken was small and the podi made the chicken a little too salty for my liking . The dosa was fine with the peanut chutney and had some nice spice init.
The pani puri was meh with onion and ragada which were good but the puris were soft and we didn’t get the crispy bites .
They have some seating area but not too many .
Overall this is s decent place but nothing extraordinary which you can go to for takeout if you around the area

Reminded me of home. The aloo is so good and the dosa is amazing. They also give peanut chutney which is good. Highly recommend to eat it there so that it’s hot.

TL;DR - This place is not for dosa lovers. The target audience are just those who’d never make dosas at home or never had the good fortune of eating a street style dosa anywhere in southern India.
Went there with the excitement of having found a food truck with a Telugu name. In my mind I was imagining this to be something that’d be comparable to the taste of dosas back in Hyderabad. But the whole experience was far from it.
I realized I make better dosas at home. I didn’t have to drive all the way and wait for more than 45 minutes to experience beginner level dosa making skills and boring chutney and no sambar.
I appreciate the entrepreneurial spirit of the business owner but this quality won’t cut it for me and I’m sure for other South Indians whose palate has high standards for dosa quality. The Seattle area truly has a long way to go before considerable competition forces high quality of Indian food.

Great food! Tried ghee roast, paneer, nellore kaaram and podi aloo dosas. All were great, flavorful and crispy. They are cooked in ghee! The peanut chutney was delicious. Also tried bhel puri, nimbu pani and mango lassi they were also good, but dosa is definitely the best. Everything is well priced compared to other places in Seattle.
Go try this place!

Tried the Aloo Masala Dosa and Chicken Dosa. Had the right kick of spice which I haven't tried anywhere in the states. The chai gave be feels of india's street side chai which is complementary....Amazing!!!

Babai Dosa - A Taste of Home in Seattle!
I stumbled upon Babai Dosa food truck on Instagram and decided to give it a try, even though I usually make dosas at home and have never tried any in Seattle. I’m so glad I did! The dosas were perfectly made and took me straight back to the darshani restaurants in Bangalore. The flavors, texture, and authenticity were spot on—just like home.
If you’re craving an authentic dosa experience in Seattle, Babai Dosa is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!
