High quality Indian food to go. Dosas are excellent. Chicken dishes are also good which is hard to pull off along w good vegetarian...usually you get one or the other w Indian restaurants. Give it a try!

Love the dosas here! We always order the andra special it's spicy and delicious! They also have free chai for people. They have a lot of vegetarian options! Recently we took a take away for dosa from here and ate it near the water front :)

I USED to love this place. The butter chicken used to have a deep red color with a very strong and delicious flavor. Now, since the pandemic, I think Dakshin has either changed ownership or gotten a new chef, as the butter chicken is now a light orange and pretty bland. I gave it a few months and tried again: same. A shame a dish that was so delicious got lost. Likely wont try a third time. There are better indian restaurants in the area.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. THE NON VEG WE TRIED WAS HORRIBLE, THE BUTTER CHICKEN AND FISH CURRY WAS OLD, NASTY NOT FRESH. THEY ALSO SERVE FROZEN PARATHAS NOT FRESH. WE ENDED UP THROWING 70% OF THE FOOD IN TRASH AND NEVER GOING BACK. THE PRICES WERE ALSO HIGHER THAN THIER ONLINE MENU.IF YOU GUYS DONT WANNA GET SICK THE AVOID THIS PLACE AT ANY COST.WAS WASTE OF MONEY.

The food is decent but not worth the wait. About 35 minutes into a "15 to 20 minutes wait" with no update from the person at the counter who otherwise isn't overwhelmed... Won't come back

Delicious food (love the chicken 65!) and reliable, speedy service!

Great, flavorful food with many vegetarian options, and the service was fast and friendly. I ordered for multiple people, and we all enjoyed our food. The Chicken Manchurian is a little spicy, so people who are sensitive to spiciness should be aware. The Malai Kofta has a creamy, savory flavor; I would definitely order it again. I really liked the paratha and rasmalai in particular. The latter had a unique, refreshing flavor and wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. The other two dishes pictured are goat curry and lamb curry.

Do not go to this over hyped restaurant. I went to Dakshin after checking it’s high rating. Paid $27 for 2 dosa which is expensive comparing to other restaurants in that area. Sambar was too bland, creamy and of red color. Looked like artificial color added to it. Couldn’t finish it as everything tasted pathetic.

Delicious South Indian food! Paneer burji dosa and Chicken wrap dosa are my favorites! Weekend brunch is good, too!

Gulab Jamun, Goat Curry & Chilli Chicken were good. Butter Chicken was tasteless.

Best ghee roast masala dosa I've had in a long time! Simply good food!! We were traveling and came across this place while searching for South Indian food places on Yelp. I'm glad we chose this over a fancy place because the food was authentic and amazing.

I crave their food at least once a month, and make the trek to get there. The dosa are crispy, delicious, and gigantic. The Mysore masala is my favorite, but bring someone else along so you can share their paneer dosa. Don't skip the sauces. Or the chai.

The best South Indian food ever!!. We have been going there since the place opened, the kids love the dosas and the owner JP has maintained the quality of the dishes in a very consistent fashion. JP is a very gracious host and we love his food!.

Drove all the way to kirkland to try out Dakshin but were really disappointed. Had heard great things about the weekend brunch/thali so ordered them however both the items fell flat in terms of flavor. The hospitality of the owner was great (the 2 stars are for that) but everything else wasn't upto the mark - the portions were small, the curries were watery and the vada was dripping oil. Had better thalis in the nearby restaurants at cheaper prices.

NEVER ORDER FROM HERE, I ordered from here coz of good reviews but food was not that great and they sent such a little quantity. I made the mistake and wasted money on such food. I ordered 2Idli and 1vada shambar along with chicken curry. They send shambar in such a little quantity, the box in which it was packed was half empty, I was not able to eat 1 idli with shambar. Chicken curry felt like they made it a week ago. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone
