This review is based on take out! I recommend you call ahead if you're interested in the Xinjiang Baked bread below as they may sold out end of the day. The staff were very polite as well, I read from other reviews it is under new management. The other dish was Xinjiang hand pulled rice (unfortunately I already ate half of it before taking the photos 😂 - it is good portion!). They have other dishes I'll have to come back and try, but these are popular recently.
Both dishes are cumin-forward and I love cumin, so I think they're flavorful. The lamb was prepared excellently as there was no gamey smell to it. The rice comes with chickpeas and also pickled/oily carrots (not pictured) which were very tasty with the rice.
The meat filling in the bread was really good,and the pastry was soft and filling. I do think it's a bit thicker than I'm used to, but I never really had Xinjiang food so you can disregard me on that.
Overall I will be visiting again, definitely plus points to the polite waitress and waiter, even giving me suggestions on how to reheat for optimum taste!

Little cozy restaurant with a new owner. Their Xinjiang festival rice plate is great. If you like crispy food, also make sure to try their Tongguan crispy burger and crispy rice cake dessert.

Wanted Chinese food for Christmas. Got to go day before. Reheated for Christmas dinner. It was fantastic. Now I need to stop in and experience this food in all its fresh glory.

Dinner was great and the new owner is very nice too. All the food we ordered was delicious,I will prefer the Gongbao Chicken, Suamchai Fish, Mapo Tofu, and the Zhajiang Noodles…definitely will come back again.

Had a great meal at Early Bird! Cozy vibes, great for dine in or takeout. Very accommodating and considerate staff, service was excellent and we got to try some samples of their new menu items. I believe they opened a couple months ago and the chef is from a Michelin star restaurant in NYC.

They’ve recently updated the menu with new Xinjiang and Sichuan dishes, and everything we tried tasted great. The flavors were authentic and well done.
The place is much cleaner now and offers dine-in seating, which makes the overall experience better. Worth checking out.
The food was fresh and service was great too! The owner gave us some homemade rice cakes! Happy dinner there

New owner was so nice to us, he keeps coming back to pour tea for us and packed all of our leftovers and gave us extra free appetizers. The foods was home made style and delicious compared to chain dumplings restaurants, I will go back here again!
