First time at the Kirkland location. Got a mixed 8 piece meal with 2 jumbo sides. They said it would take around 10 minutes. I said ok and was getting ready to pay. Then, time changed to about 20 minutes. Kids were already seated and all so I just ended up paying. When time was passing the 20 minute point, I went up to ask how much longer as it was now 30 minutes and food was still not out. He said "4 more minutes." I asked the manager nicely if there would be anything he could do to comp some of the order or anything since time was clearly at the 30 min. Point. He blatantly ignored my question and just told me that he already informed me the wait would be 20 minutes and the time to cook the chicken is 18-19 minutes. Food finally came out after 30 minutes. It was fresh, since chicken was just fried but the flavor was bland. Fries were bland. The batter is crunchy but there is literally no flavor in the crunch. I was not satisfied with my bland meal, especially having waited so damn long for upscale fast food. I approached the manager for the second time after the meal and explained my dissatisfaction at the whole experience, overall. Especially his attitude towards a customer, when the wait was blatantly too damn long. He kept telling me it was only a bit over 20 minutes when it was actually 30 minutes. If I were him, I would've just comped the sides or offered something to my customer for having waited so long. I was also with 3 young children, too. Pretty ridiculous service and also ridiculous that I had to ask twice for stickler manager to comp something for the next visit. I probably won't even go back because of my experience and the food was blah, anyhow. Safeway chicken has more flavor and costs 1/3 of the price. Manager was not friendly or customer oriented by all means. If I had time to wait around for food, I would have gone to eat at a steakhouse, not a fast food chicken joint.

If you live in Seattle and you love chicken, you must know Ezell's. This chicken is the one rumored to be the meal Opra sent her private jet to Seattle to pick up chicken dinners for her staff. Yes, it's that good.when you walk in, you'll get a face slap with the aroma of their famous chicken. Numerous locations around Seattle and 18 franchises in Washington. This Kirkland location just opened up this year (2024) , and this visit was not my first taste of what I believe is the best tasting chicken I have ever eaten. Single pieces are available, but the meals are the best value. I like regular but spicy is an option. I love the chicken livers; don't judge me. Staff are always polite and helpful. You can dine in or get it to go. Every Ezell's I have been to is very clean, and the quality is consistently good . Resently Ezell's celibrated 40 years of cooking it's famous chicken ,started by Ezell Stephen and Lewis Rudd in February 3, 1984 in the Central District. The chain is owned now by Faye, Ezell's former wife. 5 stars to Ezell's in Kirkland and welcome to the neighborhood.

Order ahead online if you don’t want to wait in store 30 minutes for your order. 10 or do online pickups have come & gone while I stand here waiting for my order to come up. I’m sure the chicken will be great though.

We were missing a whole order. Went in Halloween night and it was not busy. Note to self: Check your order before you leave. That being said customer service was good but for my first time eating at Ezell’s I was quite disappointed. I’d like to give it a second chance.

The place is very organized and hygienic, but they need to hire more employees because it is unacceptable to wait more than 30 minutes for an order. They need to be better prepared for this problem.

We ordered food on-line for next day pickup at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. We went pickup at 11:00 a.m. we're told another 15 minutes, then they told us they need to make one more order took another 5 minutes, another 10 minutes, turned out to be 35 minutes later at that point. It was ridiculous! The chicken didn't looked good, looked like oils were very very old (the color of the chicken looked very dark, liked burnt that kind of color). Eveeything was really really! 😞
I came in at 9pm closing time tonight on 9/10 and when i came to the door it was clear they were closing up. i began to walk away until i was invited inside by the adorable front check worker lexie. her and everyone inside insisted i get whatever i want even though i had told them i was absolutely fine with walking, away having worked in the industry and knowing the pain of last minute orders. they instead greeted me with smiles and friendly conversation.
