Called to find out if they make or deliver on 4 th of July weekend, they just kept repeating I need to read the website. Some other bakeries close on July 3 and I was worried that cake may not be fresh. So I had called to find out, couldn't get past a sentence a beyond read the website. Hire a receptionist, or use an AI if you don't want to deal with customers.Sigh. Unpleasant.

Was a pleasure to work HBG on a custom cupcake order, everything was ready on time, had great communication and they are super friendly. And the cupcakes were delicious!

I honestly don’t understand all the five-star reviews for Hollywood Baked Goods. My experience was very disappointing, especially considering the staff friendliness and the hype.

This was my first time ordering and I was really looking forward to it after reading so many positive reviews about the taste. I called them to get help with the planning and to ask a simple question about which filling would go best with red velvet. The response was surprisingly rude. They seemed in a rush and said everything is listed on the website. I get that a lot of details are available online and that’s great, but it would have been nice to spend even five minutes answering a few questions. I would rate their customer service and friendliness 1 out of 5.

Now coming to the look of the cake — I will say it looked aesthetic and well-decorated. Only negative is the website mentions that the butterflies are made from wafer paper and technically edible, though not recommended to eat. But the ones we got didn’t even look or feel like wafer paper. They looked like regular paper decorations, which was disappointing. I’d give 4 out of 5 for the design and presentation.

But the taste… was a huge letdown. I followed the storage and serving instructions exactly, but the cake still tasted off. It wasn’t spongy at all, it was overly sweet, and the flavors felt completely unbalanced. My local bakery sells cakes for less than a quarter of the price HBG charged and they taste way better. This just did not feel like a high-quality or thoughtfully made cake.

I’ve ordered custom cakes before from other places that cost the same and not only do they taste amazing, they also include little touches like adding the name on the cake and board without extra effort. This cake did not deliver on value or quality. Overall, I’d give 0 out of 5 for taste and flavor.

Definitely not something I’d order again or recommend!!

Lovely shop and friendly staff. Tried a trio of cake pops and cake. Well made, good variety of flavors to choose from. Will definitely return and bring my GF/vegan friends ♡♡♡

I have gotten a few things from here and everything has been delicious! I have gotten cookies, cake pops, cupcakes, cakes, etc. I love that they have so many vegan options! They don’t disappoint!

We ordered a dinosaur-themed vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream from Hollywood Baked Goods for my husband's birthday, and it was both gorgeous and delicious! The design was stunning—golden dinos, lush greenery—and the flavor had everyone raving. The staff was warm and helpful, making pick up a breeze. Highly recommend!

This bakery is hands down the best! I’ve ordered treats from here so many times—for birthday parties, school events, teacher appreciation, you name it. I even ordered my own birthday cake for a party my friends were throwing me—no regrets, it was amazing!

The gluten-free options are a game-changer. My son has Celiac, and it’s so nice knowing he can safely enjoy cake pops, cupcakes, cookies, and even chocolate-covered Oreos. Seeing him included and happy is everything.

Holly is always so sweet and makes the whole process easy. The turnaround time is super fast, and everything is always top-notch. If you’re looking for delicious, high-quality treats, you have to check this place out. I recommend it to everyone! Side note: parking is super easy and right in front of the shop.

Hollywood Baked Goods is amazing! I requested a firetruck cookie and matching cake for my sons 2nd birthday and they turned out SO cute and delicious. Holly was really responsive over email and everything turned out great for the party.

On December 2, 2024, around 5 PM, I visited your store to pick up an order for delivery. As always, I made sure to be polite and kind to everyone, including the employees, because I understand that everyone has their own challenges. However, my experience with one of your employees was disappointing and disheartening.

First, the employee asked if I had a bag for the order, but the tone and manner were far from courteous. Then, she rudely told me to put my phone away, again lacking any respect or professionalism. This is the first time I’ve experienced such treatment in this line of work.

As a delivery driver, I love exploring the city, meeting new people, and learning through this job. It’s an honest living, and we take pride in what we do. We aren’t doing anything wrong, so why should we be treated poorly?

I’m writing this review because I don’t want other delivery drivers to have the same negative experience. Respect goes both ways—please treat others with the same courtesy and dignity that you’d expect for yourself.

We ordered the vegan Cookies and Cream cake and it was SO good! Plus they have a very friendly staff. Can’t wait to try other cakes and treats. Highly recommend!

We ordered a 3-tiered cake for our wedding from Holly and could not have been happier with everything. Holly was an excellent communicator from day 1, answering our questions, and providing crucial tips and information regarding storing and transportation of the cake. She created a beautiful white cake and we decorated it ourselves. The cake was a hit amongst the guests. We chose a different flavor for each layer and the carrot was the favorite. We are so thankful for Holly and highly recommend her!

I would highly recommend Hollywood Baked Goods! I first found them when researching options for my wedding, and was excited to see that they offer a lot of options for vegan and gluten free. I recently ordered 3 dozen cake pops for a baby shower I hosted, and they were a big hit. I thought we would need to send leftovers home with the guests, but there were only a few left at the end of the event. Everyone loved the designs, especially the bees. I got several questions about where they were from. I'll definitely be back for future gatherings!
