The food was excellent and authentic. The portions are ample, so take care not to over order. The price was very reasonable. This is a great spot for an informal indian meal. I recommend the Chicken 65. Oh, this restaurant is about the food, so if you're nit-picky about fine dining this is not your place. If, however, you want good food at a good price, drop in--you won't be disappointed.

Great food! All freshly made - great place for authentic South Indian food. Their Naans were also nice and fluffy. Will definitely go back soon.

We’re so glad we found this South Indian gem near our house - the food was absolutely delicious and the space is immaculate. The only thing that could be improved was the time it took for us to place our order during our dining in experience - it seems like there’s very few staff and a lot of demand (especially for takeout pickup) which we’re super happy for their business but we were left hungry for a while!

This is a great option especially if you want to try some Kerala cuisine. They have rotating specials especially on weekends like pothichoru, appam, idiyappam, Thalassery biryani, sadya, fish pollichathu, etc.

KGF is a new-ish restaurant on the Totem Place strip mall where Lucky 7 and Santa Fe are located. While parking is "plentiful", the spots nearest the restaurants during the dinner hours can be very full. I suspect we didn't order their best dishes. We have a strong preference for what the staff person called "wet" dishes, i.e. curry. He was recommending their "dry" dishes, i.e. biryani. Both our curries were a bit off. The tandoori chicken took forever to be brought out. There are only two tables occupied at the restaurant and maybe two takeout orders. A couple picking up takeout sat down for an additional 10+ minutes before their orders are ready. They are s.l.o.w. Don't go too hungry. The restaurant is a skinny fit with no decor. There are 5 or 6 tables against one wall that are 2-seaters, maybe 3 tables against the other wall that are 4-seaters, and one table that is a 6-seater. If you are coming with four or more, call ahead or it'll be an even longer wait. Service wise, the staff was ok; he provided what we asked; we asked for the water to be refilled, too. The Food: Tandoori Chicken, $14.99 - 3 Stars I consider this to be a baseline dish. Every Indian restaurant must offer at least a 4-stars version of it for us to return. Their price is a wee lower than other places, but the chicken shrank proportionally, too. The biggest ding is way too much char. The top sides look ok enough. The bottom sides of the thigh pieces and parts of one drumstick are quite blackened/burnt. I was disappointed. I am at the stage of my life that I don't want to eat carcinogens anymore. Flavor wise, it was well seasoned, Chicken Tikka Masala, $16.99 - 3 Stars This was delivered smoking, piping hot, which I love. Good start! Flavor of the sauce was excellent for dipping the naan. I even ran out of sauce for the rice, cuz the sauce is so good. And then I tried a piece of chicken. Every piece is gigantic and very-very-dry. Serious sad face. 4 stars for the sauce, 2 stars for the chicken pieces. Lamb Curry, $17.99 - 2 Stars The description is sparse, saying it is a boneless lamb cooked with herbs and fragrant curry sauce. We have never eaten lamb curry that we didn't like before, but now we have! Somehow the texture of the curry is gritty, as though it is made out of beans. It left a weird texture on my tongue. Both the spiciness and the flavor were "ok". The texture bothered me the most. I have a propensity to try every variation of curry that an Indian restaurant offers. Now I have found my nemesis. Butter Naan, $2.49 - 4 Stars They serve a crispier naan. The bottom has an excellent crisp. The edges are slightly blackened. The top has just enough pillowy to have a bit of chew. I like this version better. My hubby likes them softer, more pillowy. So, up to personal taste. The cost is very good for a butter naan. They served a modest portion of rice even though we had two curries. They weren't particularly seasoned or special, so I didn't ask for any refills.

This is a cozy Indian restaurant serving delicious food and not trying to be too fancy. We ordered the lamb biryani, goat curry, and koonthal (squid) roast. It was so delicious! Probably the best Indian food I've had in the Kirkland area. There were only two people working the front and they were busy most of the time, but they didn't bring us plates when the food came, and then only brought the plates one at a time for some reason. The kid pouring water also actively looked at our empty cups, stopped, and then turned away and didn't fill it. Hopefully the service will improve over time as the food is really good so we want to feel good about returning :)

The fact that this restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived for dinner was a crime. This was easily some of the best Indian food we’ve had in the Seattle area, period. The idli was fresh-made and came out still steaming, the sambar and chutneys were incredible, all the food was perfect.Do keep an eye out for a disused Teriyaki sign above the door - the common refrain from every customer was that they had trouble actually finding the restaurant ?Vegetarian options: We had paneer tikka, idli with lentil sambar, gobi manchurian, and a veg coconut curry.

We heard about this restaurants from a friend and decided to try. We ordered two appetizers and two main course. One of the appetizers did not come even after an hour of serving the main course. Food was decent but the service was really horrible and has miles to improve. They missed out on Basic things like making sure every person sitting on the table has cutlery and a glass of water/napkins, making sure kids are offered a high chair. I had to go and get the high chair myself and after my kid sat for a few mins I saw that the high chair base was broken. We had to ask multiple times for cutlery even after one appetizer was served. Asking for the desired spice level of each item ordered especially when the party has small kids. I feel these are 101s of service and should not have been missed. Last but not least there is no excuse to miss serving an appetizer that was ordered even after all the main course was served and all the people who came after us were being served their food. The only reason I am not giving a 1 star is that the food was decent and I want to give them a benefit of doubt.
