My first time here and it was horrible! Terrible service, employee was super rude and rude. In addition to the bad saltiness, it seemed old. Dirty and messy environment. I won't go back. Disappointed.

Pretty decent coffee with good service. They also have a small grocer attached for Brazilian imported goods, including snacks, frozen meats, and other imported goods. Great if you want a small taste of Brazil in Kirkland!

Visited while waiting for my car to be serviced nearby. It's a rather large store with so many different breads and buns. The middle of the store contains Brazilian imported goods and the back of the store has bulk buns to take home. I had the Kitanda bread and the coconut bun. Unsure what the cheese was in the Kitanda bread, but it was gooey without being too oily. The coconut bun was a bit heavier and sweeter with lots of coconut flakes in between the layers. Will be back to try more!

Great place to have a coffee and eat cheese bread, Minas Gerais style.

So good. Coffee is the best, and their food is just as great.

I went here on a whim...Pleasantly surprised. All the smoothies are amazing and healthy it seems. What's a hidden gem for me is the coffee smoothies and the coffee...It's all creamy and excellent. The coconut roll/bun thing is off the hook. The staff is super friendly and eager to assist with a smile. It's so refreshing compared to dealing with online crap, no service, and too much automation at other places. These are real people making your really good drinks and food items and they seem to do it with care and kindness. You won't get that from a machine :). Thanks Kitanda!

Fairly sure this place is racist. Rude staff that couldn’t seem to prioritize good service. The woman before me had to keep reminding them what she ordered and they weren’t helpful or polite and the same for me. It honestly felt like they didn’t want to serve me which I don’t think I’ve ever experience before.

Really love how close this place is to me and always get their açaí bowls 1-2x a week. However, I've noticed there is a total discrepancy in portions depending on the time of day you place an order for an açaí bowl.Come on the morning and you'll get what feels like the largest portion of toppings - I add condensed milk to the Frutas and omit the dried mango. When I pull the lid off, you can expect the top layer of toppings stuck to the lid because whoever is working in the morning is an angel. However I came here Tuesday afternoon around 4pm and felt like I didn't as much as I usually do. I could tell because it requires a lot of brute strength to really dig through the thick layers of toppings to get to the açaí bowl.Today, at 5:45pm, I was craving a bowl after leaving the hospital and had my fiancé order a to-go order. When I got home, the bowl was nothing like the bowls I've received in the past month regarding toppings. I'm disappointed that throughout the day, it feels like I need to time when I place an order to ensure I get enough to feel satisfied for a few hours. If I could do half stars, I'd say these two experiences would have my review at 3.5 stars; however, I don't want my experience to deter folks from supporting this business and trying their menu. Just expect better açaí bowl portions in the morning :)

I really enjoyed the açai bowls and the food here, but unfortunately the female staff is extremely rude. They openly mock and laugh at customers who don’t speak Portuguese to their face, this incredibly unprofessional, rude, and juvenile. Upon reading other reviews, I can see this is a repetitive, unresolved problem. Would’ve hoped for better from here. Was a regular here for years who has always been kind and respectful to the staff and brought a lot of business by sharing with clients. I did not deserve to be treated like that, will not be back. To the older woman at the pick up counter, I hope you resolve whatever is wrong in your life that makes you treat people the way you do, especially at a place of employment. You’re old enough to know better.

been coming to this place for a couple of years now. most times service is nothing out of the ordinary but it's ok, their açai bowls are amazing, but my last visit - I arrived ten minutes before they closed and was told they couldn't serve me as they had cleaned up already. seriously? why have a closing time if you are going to stop serving customers?

Was walking by in the AM after dropping my car off down the street and saw reviews on their breakfast sandwiches that intrigued me. It's a cute shop with lots of Brazilian grocery items, coffee and snacks. My review is solely on the egg sandwich, which I went with the sausage egg sandwich. It was OK, not sure what I expected exactly. Little piece of sausage and little egg with mozzarella. If was just over $5 with tax but it felt underwhelming overall.

I fell in love with Kitanda from the very first time. I'm a huge fan of their coffee here. It's bold but smooth. This location can get busy but they do a great job of moving it along pretty fast and the wait is never too long. There is plenty of sitting in the small shop if you want to sit and enjoy your coffee and food. The açaí bowls remain a fave but it's hard to not the get bread with the Dulce de leite. You can also do some shopping for some of your favorites from Brazil.
