Decent food. Nothing out of the ordinary, but I'd go again if I wanted some quick Thai

Lai Thai is a staple restaurant in our house. Love the simple flavors and consistency. We also like that they always remember us and are very police and helpful.

I ordered tofu. The dish was a bit salty. The food was "warm" but not hot. Certainly not made after I placed the order. The staff did not wear gloves they did not have disposable paper menu. The same menu was touched by many. I wish that there was more adherence to the Covid protocol. Thankfully they have outdoor seating. The staff seemed nice.

Wow this place did not impress. The Good:Yum Woon Sen was good because the lime balanced it out, and the crunch from the peanuts and crisp from the salad greens were nice. The Bad:Pad Kee Mao didn't have enough flavor. Not enough salt or sauce, and the noodles seemed old or of low quality.Heavenly beef was far too sweet. But the winner in all this is the Thai BBQ Chicken. It is actually just half a store-bought rotisserie chicken chopped up, tossed in some satay-like marinade, and placed on a grill to finish. The wing texture is the exact same as a rotisserie chicken. So was the breast and the drumstick. How embarrassing to serve such low quality food. It says a lot about the values of the people who run this place. They do not represent Thai food very well.

Went for lunch here after strolling around downtown Kirkland. The lady working, assuming she was the owner, was so sweet. She was doing everything--seating people, cleaning tables, and cooking and serving. We sat outside in an area blocked off for outdoor dining. We ordered pad Thai, crispy garlic chicken and sautéed green beans and Thai iced tea. All was yummy and the lady working was very accommodating. Will return to try curries and other items on extensive menu.

1. Disappointed in their customer serviceA we made reservations and even arrived a little bit early. However they gave two tables right before we arrived to Walk ins, as observed by our Pollick who was waiting for us. We had reservations for three of us and I'm not sure why they didn't set him. Our reservation was for an outdoor table and they only then had indoor table. They ended up seating us on the makeshift table where they kept hand sanitizer at the front. It meant it was busy and lots of people walking around us. It didn't feel as safe as we had wanted. Very disappointed when one takes the time to make a reservation that they don't handle well.B. Safery. Unfortunately, an older server with glasses wore his mask below his nose. There are masks that you can wear when you have glasses that can't avoid any fogging up issues.C. Very slow. We waited like an hour for our food.2. Food Quality. The food was OK. Three stars. I'll go back again. I've gone to this restaurant on and off over a decade It's definitely worth giving them another shot. They've been in the neighborhood a long time. It's not easy during this time of Covid, however if we make a reservation and require an outdoor table, they should honor that. This was a couple of weeks ago when the weather was fantastic.

I only now realized I have no review posted for my favorite restaurant in Kirkland! I have been coming here since they opened and they know my order the moment I walk in. This is a terrific restaurant and has been so nicely run by the same nice folks for all these years! Eat here, be happy!

Came here on a Friday night. We put our names down and instead of going off the list, the waitress just called in whoever was standing closest to the entrance. Our food took 1.5 hours to arrive. The food itself is not anything different than standard take out Thai food. Not a bad thing, but waiting 1.5 hours for it was.We asked for our check and the waitress left and started cleaning tables instead even though no customers were waiting on a table. We ended up walking in and paying for our food instead of waiting for the check.Go somewhere else for Thai food. It's not worth the wait.

I have only had good experiences here! The portions are perfect, the noodle dishes are fantastic, and the staff is so friendly! They're also prepared with water bowls for the dogs! My go to meals when I'm craving Thai is Pad see ew and Pad Thai. I've also had a variety of their curries! Definitely worth a try. We all have different palates and this one satisfied mine.

After a lovely stroll in downtown Kirkland, our tummies began to rumble, our thirsty eyes looked upon a raggedy sign for thai food and we decided to take a chance. Our group ordered chicken satay, mussaman curry, 2 rice, 3 chai tea's. Pro: The garlic crispy chicken was delicious but they didn't drain the vegetables on the plate and it was eating the chicken but we ate them before it became soggy. The Thai tea's were yummy. The young guy working there put the right amount of tea and cream.Cons:The chicken satay's were watery and bland. The yellow dye on the chicken stained our fingertips and the peanut sauce was watery and thin. The mussaman curry was watery and the potatoes weren't fully cooked. We send it back and they wouldn't fix the order. They just put it in the microwave and attempted to serve it back to us. Told them we saw them and didn't want it. They CHARGED us for it anyways!!If you can save your money and skip this place you definitely should!! If you do decide to take that chance... Smh.. Get an Thai iced tea or garlic chicken and keep it moving.

Great food and service. Out on a Sunday stroll in Kirkland and wasn't looking for anything fancy. Ordered some basic dishes and was pleasantly surprised. Chinese sausage fried rice was the best I've ever had. Chicken pad Thai was just right; not too soupy, sweet or fish saucy. Oh yah, no MSG! We will definitely be back! Thanks Lai-Thai!
