Great shop with a good variety of tea selections. Pleasant staff and a chill place to hang out. Also a nice selection of chocolate and pastries to go with the tea!
A charming and thoughtful tea shop with a well-curated selection and a calm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are knowledgeable, and the experience feels refreshingly unhurried. An excellent stop for both seasoned tea drinkers and the simply curious.
The staff are so kind and well informed about their tea selection! Definitely will be coming back :)
I love this place. It's adorable inside. They make a really delicious Matcha Latte and a refreshing pink Barbie drink (inspired by the movie). They have so many tea selections and options I am excited to try more. They sell some cute tea accessories as well, like tea pets and tea pots etc... I love that I'm supporting a small woman owned business that supports LGBTQIA+ rights as well. I like to go on a walk downtown and stop in!
Unplug! That's the first thing pop into my mind when I stepped in. Cheerful staff made me decide to stay. I love tea and have a pretty good collection at home. I am happily surlrised with this honey almond tea, check out in indigent too!
This place is cozy and adorable, and the staff is so nice! They have all sorts of tea lattes like oolong maple, classic London fog, etc. Any of the loose leaf tins on the wall can be made into a hot or iced tea as well. Not a ton of seating but they have stools at the bar and a couple of tables.
So many types of tea to choose from, and friendly, informative guides to help you find your next tea experience.
Bought a bag of green tea for $25 and found a similar brand just as good at Uwajimaya for $7.

LizzyKate is, without a doubt, one of the most fascinating tea shops I’ve encountered in a very long time. From the moment you step inside, the attention to detail and calm, almost reverent atmosphere at the time of my was immediately apparent. It was clear to me that, Amy, one of the owners to my understanding, who I spoke with is deeply passionate and knowledgeable about all things tea.
On my visit, I was warmly assisted by Cleo, an incredibly helpful team member who perfectly matched me with a tea that was not only delicious but left me feeling completely relaxed for a long period afterwards. The assistant manager, Nikki, also contributed to the experience, demonstrating the team’s collaborative and welcoming nature. Plus I believe “Leo” was the nickname of their other coworkers, all extremely quite pleasant to chat with.
As someone who is naturally curious, I appreciated the opportunity to learn more about tea during my visit. LizzyKate offers a well-curated selection of books for tea enthusiasts as well, and their tea flights and sampling options are perfect for anyone looking to expand their palate or deepen their understanding of tea. The shop features a bar area, making it an unique spot to acquire more about the teas.
Whether you’re a tea novice or a seasoned enthusiast, LizzyKate is a must-visit destination in Downtown Kirkland. It’s a space where you can not only enjoy exceptional tea but also immerse yourself in the art and culture of tea. I highly recommend stopping by—this is not just a tea shop; it’s an experience.

They brew fresh tea and tea latte here, and have a large selection of various tea from all over the world. They will happily let you smell different tea leaves before you decide on what to get. Plenty of seating in a cozy setting. Love this place!
Such a cute tea shop with warm and friendly service 🍵
This is our go to place for really excellent blended loose leaf teas. They have so many good ones plus yummy tea lattes.
Fabulous selection of teas from blends to true teas. Great customization. Always very clean. Caring and genuine staff providing excellent customer service. Great place to get work done, for a date, or to hold a weekly club meeting. You can also take their amazing classes on tea or have a tea flight with friends! It’s been fun to watch the shop change overtime and they always have new chalk art designs that are just dazzling!
I’ve been frequenting LizzyKates Tea Shop ever since it opened about about 8 years now, and was the first one to try all of their teas. They even had a pitcher with my name on it! Its is also where I met up with my friend to talk about dating for the first time in many years which was how I met the love of my life: It’s a lucky and special place.
What’s great about LizzyKates is a number of things that just means they are going to be open for a really really long time. Will and Amy, the owners make sure everything is perfect down to the smallest details. They also remember me and what’s going on in my life - they are just great people.
Want a tea latte? A hot one? An iced one? Or even a great true tea? You can have anything your heart desires here. Just pick from the wall and it’s yours! They have blends, tea floats, and even a great choice on matcha as well!
My favorite teas:
- Cinnamon Spice
- Earl Grey
- Earl Grey Cream
- Sencha Fukamushi
- Houjicha
- Sugimoto Tea’s Mizuki Matcha
- All their oolongs
- Pumpkin Spice Chai
Lattes:
- london fog
- matcha doodle (matcha latte with cinnamon)
- paris latte
- Pumpkin Spice Latte
- Cinful Latte (cinnamon spice)
Aren’t sure which one to get? Each tea can be pulled down from the wall to smell. The Bkon they use to pressurize the tea also makes it the best flavor it can be.
LizzyKates also has a number of great items for sale for merch. My favorites are:
- the tumbler with the name on it
- the mug with the name on it
- their choice in matcha whisks, bowls, and spoons
- their forlife strainers
- tea pets
This one is a special one: The stagg kettle which can be customized to the exact degree in F or C you want, can be held on the same heat setting, and is perfect for making all different kinds of tea: from a cool water to 212 degrees F (100 C). I have one at home that has been going strong for the last 5 years that I use daily.
Whether your looking for a place to feel zen for a while, a place to work, or a place to hang out with a great cup of tea - come to LizzyKate: there is no better place in Washington for tea.
The workers were extremely helpful and kind, quite a relaxed atmosphere but also cozy! I recommend the tea fight of the month, it was a wonderful way to taste each of the teas offered in the temporary lineup they organize!
