“Oh my God! One of the best Middle Eastern places in Seattle. The chicken saj is my favorite. When you first bite into the chicken saj, it's pretty simple, just tender chicken and bread. But then you take a another bites and taste lettuce and tomato. Then you take a another bite and you taste the garlic sauce. But the real party starts when you are one third of the sandwich. Now you bite and taste the tender juicy chicken, the bread, the pickles (OMG), the garlic sauce, the red sauce, the tomatos, the onions, the juices created by all the above. Then somewhere in there, the you taste the pure mint leaf. And you're like OMG. And it stays all the way till you finish the wrap and you're left with a delicious saucy juicy mess of a paper wrap in your hand. As you toss it in the bin next to the order counter, watch the big grin on your face in the window reflection, wave good bye to the Yalla folks (Taylor and Matt), and relish the experience til next time.“

“Absolutely amazing service. Very kind server. The new plates they have were absolutely delicious and the baklava was sooooooo good! We came back from the parking lot to buy more before we left because I wanted to share some for family at home.“

“one of my go-to spots in the greenlake/roosevelt area!! the falafel and pita are always fresh and warm, sauces and pickle are delicious and takes it to the next level, and the pistachio baklava is to die for. food comes out super fast and there's always plenty of spots to sit“

“Delicious. Tried the lentil soup and kookoo sabzi; both felt like reasonable value for the market.
I went here off peak, so was able to easily order and get seating. The food took a few minutes to be ready, but it was definitely worth it!
I will come back.“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Homer on Beacon Hill is one of those places that immediately wraps you in warmth from the moment you walk up. The glowing yellow sign outside sets the tone — soft, inviting, and a little bit magical. Inside, it feels like stepping into someone’s family kitchen where modern design meets soulful comfort.
The ambiance is intimate but lively — thoughtfully designed with an open kitchen, glowing ovens, and seating that keeps you close to the action. It feels both upscale and deeply human. I believe there are two wood-fired ovens, which add to the cozy scent and visual energy. The bar seating is beautifully done, though it’s near the door where guests come in and out, so bring a light jacket if you plan to sit there. The space still feels incredibly warm and welcoming.
The staff move like a rhythm — attentive, intelligent, and graceful in motion. You can tell this place is designed with care: there’s even a wheelchair-accessible restroom, and the flow between spaces feels intentional. The walk-up window for self-serve soft-serve ice cream outside is such a clever touch.
We ordered a trio of spreads — classic hummus with chickpeas and cumin, smoky red pepper with mint and pomegranate, and creamy yogurt with roasted tomatoes and herbs. Every bite was balanced, fresh, and beautifully plated. The pita bread came straight from the fire oven, warm and pillowy, with that slight char that tells you it was made with love.
The cocktails were another highlight: a perfectly balanced Old Fashioned and a frothy Whiskey Sour that was so well-made it could easily compete with any high-end cocktail bar in the city. The flavors were elegant and layered, just like the atmosphere itself.
The music was nostalgic — the kind that makes you sway a little in your seat without even realizing it. The crowd felt connected, like everyone was collectively part of something special. It’s clear this restaurant was designed for experience, not just eating.
Homer captures what dining should feel like — intentional, soulful, and sensory. Everything from the lighting to the flavors to the flow of energy was in harmony. It’s rare to find a space that satisfies the body, mind, and spirit, but this one truly does.
✅ Highlights:
• Open kitchen with wood-fired ovens
• Exceptional cocktails (Old Fashioned + Whiskey Sour)
• Stunning hummus trio and hot pita
• Modern design with cozy, family-style warmth
• Wheelchair-accessible restroom
• Outdoor seating and a walk-up soft-serve window
• Great for date nights, solo dining, or small groups
💫 Tip: Sit at the bar if you love watching the chefs work their magic, but bring a light sweater for cooler nights.
This is one of those places that reminds you food is more than flavor — it’s connection, creativity, and care. Homer made me smile, sway, and feel deeply at home.

“Best Gyros around, I like that you can taste the meat...it doesn't taste like overly spiced mystery meat like other gyro places have. The hummus is excellent!“

“The food is delicious . Everything is made with pride . It’s all fresh and made in house . Since it’s fresh and made to order , you will have to wait . It is worth it . I highly recommend the Greek french fries , amazing. Also I would not skip the chai tea or baklava, both so good. Friendly family business that appreciates its customers. The only thing I did not like was not their fault . Customers constantly talking loudly on cell phone , incredibly annoying ringers going off from multiple phones, some very loud voices . It’s a tiny place with close tables so hear everything. It has lovely lighting from beautiful lamps and is nicely decorated. I just wish some of the customers more considerate .“

“Had to check out the falafel and here's my review... I'd like to state up front that as someone who lived in Israel for years and has always been very critical of "hippie" falafel and most Americans attempts which always seem to include lettuce, which has absolutely no place in a falafel, this was as close to an authentic falafel that I have seen in the western states. That being said, I found no reason to go back. Been there, done that. (Although it is a Hummus Bar and I didn't bother to try that because I make extraordinarily good hummus at home.) I've been avoiding bread on my new diet but was intrigued that there was a new source in town for fresh pita, which can make or break a falafel sandwich. I tried to secure an end to taste, (the top section that is cut off to stuff the pita,) the ends are traditionally tossed but my attempt was rebuffed by the staff who claimed they used them so I went ahead and ordered the "stuffed falafel" sandwich. What I got when I ordered the Stuffed Falafel was better than any pita I've ever had in Seattle, but it wasn't up to snuff with a traditional pita. It was too bready and airy for me, but it held together very well, when it was completely full of all the ingredients and sauce. Everything inside was very yummy, a great tahini sauce and tasty falafel balls, though I thought the falafel was a bit under-cooked and soft. The mix of cucumbers, tomatoes & Israeli-style pickles was great but there was none of the expected red or purple cabbage. The waitress claimed that there was cabbage in there but it was white, but I couldn't taste it at, a definite let down. At my favorite falafel shops in Jerusalem and NYC you load your own veges and choose your own sauces and I always go heavy on cabbage & pickles. No problems though, I wolfed it right down... :) I also tried a side order of חצילים and it was good, but nothing to write home about. In conclusion it was the best falafel I ever had in Seattle, but I'm still looking for that completely authentic falafel shop to come around.“

“The food is ok. Nothing extra ordinary, but its really difficult for me to understand why they add 18% tips by default. Even for group of 4 or just one person for that matter. Price of food really on higher side with minimum quantity. Another thing is you cant split a bill. So on one table they only accept one credit card. This place is not for celebrating with friends for that reason.“

“Not only is this authentic Persian cuisine, it’s as good as my Persian friend’s Mom’s food which is hard to beat! They don’t use fillers for the Koobideh (ground beef) and there’s no shortage of saffron on the chicken kabob. I liked the ambience with Persian music and overall it felt a little fancy. The service was polite and efficient and well deserving of the auto gratuity and I added extra because I think 15% is too low. I don’t think people realize how rare authentic, great tasting Persian food is. I feel like their prices are definitely reasonable for what you get. Can’t wait to go back.“
