GOOD FOOD, REALLY BAD SERVICE, SMALL PORTIONS.
The food is delicious but overpriced. I used to go regularly and spend $50, but they’ve lost me as a customer. I bought soba noodles to go, and the broth was only half full. When I got home I thought about watering it down since it was basically empty. Broth is so cheap. They refused to provide extra broth at all (even for pay!), and just kept repeating that I would have to order two of the dish. That is ridiculous service. They didn’t even apologize. So they just lost a long time customer and I won’t be recommending them. It’s unfortunate because the food is delicious.
Also chicken teriyaki has a different flavor than typical, so I don’t order it here.
I feel like this place nickel and dimes you and it’s not how I want to be treated.

This is the first restaurant I have found that won't even serve you cutlery or water if you asked for a togo but decided to dine-in! We literally finished our meal in the plastic togo containers with no plates, water cups etc. We have referred many people to this place in the past because of their food but the hospitality by their Kirkland staff had made sure we aren't coming back ever!

Sushi melted deliciously, luxuriously in our mouths -- exceptional preparation. Ordered the nigiri omakase which included ikura, toro, chutoro, otoro, king salmon, yellow tail, sweet spotted shrimp (head fried), several pieces of broiled salmon as well as a roll. it came with me so soup. We ordered some baked mussels and ikura from the Columbia River on the side. Tab came out to $88 for the two of us.
Service was attentive and food was prepared very quickly even though the restaurant was full. parking is plentiful and free.

Our go-to sushi in the area. Consistently delicious and great yakisoba as well
Nothing fancy but overall good sushi. Not the best; but solid.

It’s my favorite japanese food. I'm from Brazil and whenever I go to Kirkland I have to eat at this restaurant.

Total miss from start to finish. Every roll fell apart, many rolls were oddly soggy, fish that wasn’t supposed to be warm was, nigiri was extremely chewy and odd tasting. No chopsticks or soy in the to-go bag. Ordered from the Kirkland spot by mistake, won’t be returning. Redmond is significantly better.
Best Sushi place around!

Very consistent experience. We have it weekly. My wife particularly enjoys the sushi. Parking can be challenging.

Their fish and sushi were great and fresh, no complaints there. Their nabeyaki udon needs improvement. For nabeyaki udon, the soup was too salty, chicken was boiled too long so it was very chewy. The shiitake mushroom was also very chewy, might be from a dried kind instead of fresh mushroom. So if you come here, just order their sushi and fresh fish dish.
