Rock Creek continues to impress with the quality of the food (fresh ingredients and great execution) but what really sets them apart for me is the service. Exactly the right balance of being available and invisible at the same time. We will continue to come back as long as they keep it up! Well done
They charge tax on top of 22% service fee, why I should pay tax on the tips? This is very ugly and you steal customer's money in this ugly way!
We've been to the Seattle location and it was amazing but this Kirkland location takes the win. The view, ambience, service and the food were outstanding!! the shrimp and grits was our favorite dish, followed by the whole brazino. Our least favorite was the pesto pasta; a bit bland.
It was a quiet night but a Monday. Prices of the main entrees are high given it is just the protein. And the built in tip that also gets taxed adds about 25% to the bill. But I respect what they are doing for service staff - who are very good. Food is tasty, ambience is nice, service is good.
Such an exceptional experience. The food was outstanding & service was perfectly attentive! 10/10
I've been here twice now. The first visit was just okay—it was a newer spot at the time, so we decided to give it another try, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, it was worse. The noise level was so high that the four of us couldn't hold a normal conversation without constantly saying, “What?” It really took away from the overall experience. Drinks were expensive—$56 for two glasses of mediocre champagne. Entrées came with nothing but the protein, and sides were both limited and overpriced. The wine list was also unreasonably marked up. We go out to enjoy good company and atmosphere, but when you're forced to shout to be heard, it gets frustrating. To top it off, there's a 23% service charge added before tax, which in my opinion feels like an unfair way to take advantage of customers.
First time at Rock Creek to celebrate a special birthday. Seated on a table for 6 that had us miles away from each other so we couldn't hear any conversations. Place was loud. Service was irritating, not personal and based on a script rather than how they could accommodate certain requests or flexibility for our multi generational table. Food was average, pasta cold, tiny plates so it looked as though we had a lot of food when we didn't. Husband requested over phone something special for birthday and we reminded them on arrival, totally forgot. Then had the nerve to ask if we wanted to pay another 15% on top of the required 23% gratuity ! Nice interior, that's about my only positive to this restaurant.
It was such a great experience and we will definitely be back. The octopus was outstanding
Another incredible dinner at Rock Creek. The Halibut Cheeks and Sea Bass were amazing!! Try the cauliflower appetizer, for sure. Thank you!!
Excellent service and food. A few items needed to be mixed a little more thoroughly as they were literally one sided and had the majority of a pungent ingredient one half of a dish.
Restaurantji Recommends
Swordfish was amazing as was the oysters and overall vibe. Great seafood spot with few solid meat options as well.
I took my family there for a Mother's Day dinner. The food took 1+ hours to arrive with little explanation on why. Super disappointed with the experience.
Everything that we ordered was mind blowing. The octopus, the prawns, the branzino, and the burrata salad was the best. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great and unique drink choices. Food was wonderful and service was friendly and fast. Great place to relax and enjoy time with friends.
The plum turnovers are absolutely delicious and the scramble is like none you've had before . . .and beautiful to look at as well. Best place for breakfast/brunch in Kirkland. Dinners can be a challenge as the offerings are unusal and a la carte. A bargain at brunch, pricey for dinner.
