Need I say more....we love this Safeway. Maybe it is the convenience or the fact that some of the check-out folks recognize us and exchange conversation, making it feel much more local. Either way, nearly always a positive experience, except when they're restocking shelves or getting ready for a big sale...the shelves might be a bit sparse.

I have shopped here many times and every time I go to the Deli, there seems to be very little workers during the evening and just by watching the workers, I can tell that they are Short Staffed and they seem Over worked. As a grocery worker myself, I feel the frustration from these workers as customers line up waiting to be served by 1 or 2 workers in the dept. I think a phone call to the Union needs to be made about this situation.

The self-checkout uses AI to try to detect theft. I already don't like AI - it would at least be nice if it works properly because I *really* don't like being treated like I'm stealing when I'm just trying to buy some groceries dude
Edit: I don't care that you shared this concern with the management team. You'll probably blame it on an employee but I simply don't want AI in my grocery buying experience

The Men bathroom reminds me of a 1970's gas station bathrooms. It needs a one hell of a cleaning!!!
I have asked for a product to be stocked for years and been ignored and even to have it special ordered and management can't be bothered!!!

Each time I go to the pharmacy section I have a bad experience the employees there are terrible. I love the grocery ones but I will definitely change the pharmacy to another location. This became unbearable of how unfriendly and rude they are not only with one employee but it happened with three different employees.

I needed a spot for a virtual meeting and a quick lunch, so I was grateful to be able to use the free wifi while sitting at some conveniently placed tables and chairs. I grabbed a salad and a drink and was on my way to my next appointment!

I have to say I shop at Safe often. Most items are good. BUT I have to put in this bad review for their Gift Cards. We have had two Amazon Gift Cards that were already emptied when we tried to load them. Customer Service gave us a phone number to call. We logged a ticket. They said we needed copies of the receipt and told us how to get them. We did all they said even though it was a lot of hassle. After a few weeks I called for progress. They had done nothing and tried to start us into the same process all over. It is worse than if they just blew us off in the beginning. DON'T BUY GIFT CARDS FROM SAFEWAY!!!

I went in to get my work crew some breakfast. Horrible experience, I was literally the only person in that area. 4 people in the deli area. I stood there for over 10 minutes before walking away. They saw me and k ew I was standing there, never acknowledge me. Made eye contact then looked away. Absolutely terrible customer service. I don't understand how people get hired on knowingly that their job is to help people, but yet refuse to help people. Employers need to do a better job at training their employees and getting them happy to do their job.
Super stores need to have an area where a guy like me can walk in there and buy a few items without having to stroll the entire store. Dairy Goods such as milk cheese and butter yogurt shouldn't be spread out all over the store with similar items in different places. Items such as yogurt all oughta be in the same place. That's my example
