Restaurant was clean and the service was fast, but I was not bowled over by this place. The food was just okay. I had the enchilada/chili relleno combination. I thought the enchilada sauce was on the tad sweet side for me and the coating on chili relleno was dense and heavy instead of being light and airy. I thought the best part of the meal was the chips and salsa.

Soooooo good. Chips, guac, tortilla soup......EXCELLENT! Big portions so I had leftover soup. Still fabulous the next day.

Good food and service. I got the carne asada and it was very flavorful and skinny margarita which was delicious

The good: the enchiladas were good and the beans and rice were very good. Good selection of Mexican beers on tap and lots of tequila. Awesome location. Decent decor. The not so good: the salsa they make in house isn't good. I asked for a couple limes and they gave me one. I asked for the number 2 lunch combo and they sent out the number 3. The bad: The speakers playing music in the restaurant are poor quality and make a scratchy noise. They unfortunately play them louder than they should be played given they're cheap (this was almost enough to make me leave - like nails on a chalkboard). Easy fix! The great: the server! She corrected everything she could quickly and when the chile relleno came out it was delicious. Would give this place 3.5 stars if I could but didn't quite deserve 4 stars.

Full disclosure, I came here for the first time last weekend and ended up messaging my sister "I FOUND IT" in all capital letters. My sister and I have long bemoaned that in greater Seattle we couldn't find a top notch "margaritas AND queso" spot. We could find places where one was strong, but not a place where both had that comfort food edge. However, I finally found it. If you're looking for Tex Mex queso with a fishbowl sized margaritas, this is the spot. (My enchiladas were also very good) This restaurant (and the fishbowl margaritas) are ideal for: 1) telling your friends about the person you are currently seeing 2) nights where you chose not to wear a crop top 3) setting yourself up for a fun night with good food I found out this place was a chain so maybe other people have good experiences at other locations?

Just back from dinner with a very happy and full tummy. Our first time here, I had the Enchiladas Verde and my husband had the carne asada. The tortilla chips are warm, the salsa has a little kick. I prefer my salsa a little chunkier. I don't know enough about Mexican food to comment on how authentic the food was but both entrees were very tasty with good flavor. Food arrived quickly, service was efficient and friendly. Ambience is casual, comfortable, fun. I like the big open window in front, along Lake St. The space was smaller than I expected but tables were spaced nicely and not packed tight (pet peeve of mine). The food is not life-changing but very enjoyable. Our new go-to for Mexican food.

Happened upon this place. Service great. Salsa heavy on the tomato in a ketchup sort of way, different but tasty. Highly recommend the Tortilla Soup. Had 1/2 for dinner. 1/2 for breakfast. Spicy Mango Margarita is large enough for two people. This is my Kirkland spot for Mexican.

Surprisingly quaint location in the east side with the most humble and tastiest Mexican food in the area. I highly recommend their carne asada burrito. Great flavor and size, and I can usually eat it over two meals. I'm normally doordashing or to-going Sante Fe, so can't comment on their ambience or service. 5 stars: consistently great food and probably best tasting Mexican food in the greater Seattle area.

The food and the service was excellent. I had the combo plate #2 Enchilada and Chile relleno. The enchilada comes with ground beef which is my preference anyway. All very tasty, I highly recommend.

Cute place tucked around flat stick. After spending an after at grape choice we needed some food. Saturday afternoon it's difficult to find restaurants without a reservation and as we were walking food hunting we stumbled across this join. There was a 10 minute wait, which wasn't too bad. Service- prompt with taking orders and giving recommendations. Must try their huge glass of margaritas. Very generous portion of tequila for sure. Chips and salsa are my weakness and their chips were nice and warm, just what we needed on a cold rainy seattle day. I had the veggie enchiladas, SO tasty, their vegetables were cut in the right size and wasn't too big like other places. We had few who ordered burritos which was delicious. You can tell everything is freshly cooked as you take bites. Very reasonable priced for DT Kirkland. It was my first time there and will surely be back.

Super friendly staff! Fast and great recommendations on the menu! Will def be back again!! The food was delicious. I had to give them a A++ right off the bay with fresh salsa, hot and fresh Chip. The guacamole Mexicano had huge chucks of avocado?! What?!! The chipotle pollo was outstanding!

This is 3.5 stars...it did not blow my mind but it was comfortable and tasty and just good enough I guess. This place is like a family style mexican restaurant that is growing to be a chain. Been here twice and i have had the enchiladas rojas, pollo en chipotle, camarones a la diabla, enchiladas camarones. Everything was good but bit on sweeter and cheesier side than what I was expecting. For mexican food i usually like the deep, smoky spicy flavors. Felt I just missed it a bit here. Also weird enough they seem to have stopped checking covid vax status...they did it before but not anymore. I can see myself getting takeouts from this place. But with really good competition for mexican food just a block away...this place needs to step up a bit in my opinion.
