This wonderful gem has been one of our favorite restaurants for over a decade. We frequent it often and are just devastated to learn it is closing. We love their (unique) tikka masala, their Major Grey's curry, samosas, pulao, Mango lassis, mango mousse, and of course the garlic Naan. The food is truly special - a unique and delicious blend of flavors that we crave long after we've left. The serving staff has been so wonderful over the years and we have always felt at home there. When we started bringing our small children there, they were always patient and kind no matter how many toddler meltdowns they had politely ignored. We even took one of their cooking classes years ago and loved that special experience! Shamiana, you're leaving a giant hole we fear can never be replaced. We will miss you dearly!

So devastated to hear Shamiana is closing. Had my last meal from them the other night and it was classic, perfect Shamiana. Thank you for the great food and memories!

My parents and I have been coming here since I was a baby! Quiet, yummy food, decent prices.

One of my all time favorite eastside spots. Do not skip the meat samosa app and save room for the coconut ice cream pie. This is not the place you want to skip courses.

It was nice to see that Shamiana is still here after all these years. The place is still beautiful inside. Love the decor and ambiance. We enjoyed the buffet still being available for lunch time. The wait staff was very nice. One thing that seems different though, is the flavors. They are lacking greatly. They don't seem to be a rich as they used to be. Too bad, we'll probably go to Kanishka in Redmond next time.

I only come for the lunch time buffet... Service is great and the restaurant is clean. My favorites are the pulao rice and the Major Greys chicken. The naan and raita are good too.

Is there a six star, this place is incredible! The quality of ingredients, flavors and warm amazing staff that work/cook with love. My favorite place to come with the family or close friends to share in their delicious buffet, with the best mango mousse dessert out there. Highly recommend!

Very disappointing overall. The service was good, the ambiance was pleasant, and the bathrooms were clean. Sadly, the food was not good. The naan was flat and hard. I had the lunch buffet and tried most dishes and didn't like any of them. The beef was tough, the chicken rubbery, the curries lacking in flavor. It's too bad because the location is convenient, but I won't be returning.

Went here for my birthday dinner. Excellent food, will be back soon! The naan was too good!! Melted away in my mouth. Was able to have my left over soup the next day as a dip with pita bread

Had the lunch buffet today, and it was great. You can also order off the menu. Very good price. Nice atmosphere inside, even though it's in a strip mall amid a sea of strip malls. The best of the three meat dishes was the major gray chicken. The other two were okay. Apparently they switch it up every day. I wasn't impressed by the naan, the green salad looked delicious but it tasted of cumin, which makes me want to hurl, but the coleslaw was good.

I really enjoy the lunch buffet. Dinner was okay but less exciting.

For lunch there is a decent buffet. It is convenient, fast and tasty.

Shamiana is a beautiful higher end Pakistani restaurant that has been serving the upper east side for years. They are not open between shifts, but have incredible food, especially the dinner menu. My personal favorite would be their masala ginger lamb, which is so tender and delicious. Their eggplant is a must try as well. Good service....water has never been empty. Would definitely recommend coming here if you are in the mood for amazing south Asian cuisine...

Love the Major Grays there. Nice people and great for date night or casual dining.

Very good Indian food, with a nice, kid-friendly atmosphere. They were also able to accommodate our food preferences (vegan).
