They've a great location and nearly captive customers, directly across the road from Juanita Beach, which accounts for their formula with four locations all across from destination or scenic waterfronts.

This tells me folks go not for the food—unlike the gimmick of Michelin guides to sell more tires—though as comfort food, it serves, recalling scenes of seagulls pecking for vittles in the parking lot on a hot sunny day. It's purely a money-making machine, evident as 80¢ for a plastic ramekin of tartar sauce and $3.50 for a tiny dollop of vanilla soft-serve.

At least though, the breaded cod and British chips come up piping hot, fried in not-too-old fry oil. No condiments come standard, nor even napkins, so you'll need to ask. That comports with their trash-minimizing ethos. Even their stapler uses no staples—to litter the beach—but instead perforates both the receipt and the bag, creasing and folding the perforations under each other.

I'm glad this remains. Best fish ever. They have gone to kiosk ordering which we old folks don't really like, but whatever helps keep the doors open.

Growing up my family owned a seafood market & we use to fry fish often using left over cuts... a little batter, some panko, a lot of hot oil and voila! Spuds hits the same way I remember frying fish back in the day... dee-licous. Whenever I visit my mom out here I always make a point to stop by Spuds & enjoy their cod fish, shrimp, oysters, & chips while walking down memory lane.

Great food and service. I had the fish and chips and I will be back to try more. There were seats when I went but if it’s nice out it would be good to eat it at the park across the street too.

Great little fish place I stop into when I'm in the area. Yes pricey but good fish. The new milkshake is best in the land. Would drive for it if nothing else. Great owners and staff.

Definitely overpriced. 3 - 3 piece cid combos and another drink and it was over $100! Fish was wayyyyyy overcooked in old oil. Was not impressed. Has definitely declined over the years.

We went here for the first time in almost ten years. It felt like it had only been a week. The same great fish and chips, friendly employees, and fast service. Listen, people; it's not rocket science: order to-go, bring your own drinks and tartar sauce, and enjoy your food across the street at beautiful Juanita Beach. It cost us fifteen dollars a piece, including tip. I'll show myself out...

Try the Cajun fish tacos!

And when you get a side of spuds, check the hot sauce/condiments bar for both local Seattle hot sauce to try, as well as a custom garlic infused vinegar - a must try on fries!

Their hot sauce selection is impressive and features many of the options found at our local farmers markets.

Cute place. Do not like the sauce! Vinegar overload. The food is good but the tartar sauce is not. Sadly. All the sauce I tried were heavy on either vinegar or lemon. Bitter. The ketchup was normal. It’s really good fish and fries but I would bring my own tartar next time. Kinda ruined it. The clam chowder is quite good. I also had a delicious elder pear lemon cider. Not sure I will stop here again.
