While the shop was a bit small, the treats and service were great. We tried cupcakes, cookies, and bars. All delicious. The chocolate peanut butter bar was perhaps one of the best bakery treats we've had in quite some time. We look forward to visiting again when we're in the area.

I was feeling nostalgic and wanted a peanut butter bar from Sweet Cakes. Hubby and I both picked up a treat and during the pick up asked if it was the same ownership. I was told it was not and when I got home it was made even more clear that ownership had changed. All three treats that were purchased were horrible tasting. No longer is the peanut butter bar the same nor was it delicious like before. Felt more like a jelly bar center and the chocolate was poor quality. Couldn’t even get myself to try a second bite. The bunny cookies looked absolutely beautiful but with a terrible taste not to mention the third treat. I guess my visits to Sweet Cakes has come to an end. I really wanted to experience that wonderful familiar taste. Lots of money wasted. Ugh!!

We ordered a dozen cupcakes for my wife’s birthday but forgot to pick them up. The owner called us and said she was closing but would drive the cupcakes out to our home. It was not a short drive. She continuously refused any tips. FANTASTIC SERVICE. And the cupcakes were phenomenal. Thanks Sweet Cakes!

They offer a really nice array of take away desserts. They also make really nice quality birthday cakes and the key lime tart is fantastic. The tart was baked day of, so know the desserts are fresh. Really nice service, too.

Dena and her team went above and beyond to create a customized wedding tasting package for our daughter. Bride, groom, and both sets of parents tasted. We loved the chocolate raspberry, “kids” loved the “Funfetti” and lemon curd was a sparkling contender. We could not decide. Everything is made completely from scratch, which this culinary and foodie family appreciates. Dena and her team went out of their way to stay in close contact during a hectic and indecisive summer. Design posed no challenges to this experienced bakery, and advice was welcome in feeding guests amply, yet not over-ordering. Due to a hot summer wedding and an out-of-King County venue we chose a bakery closer to the venue. This in no way reflects the excellence of Dena’s products, staff, or service, but only a sizable reduction in delivery fee. I have 2 weddings left, and I would not hesitate to work with Dena. Sweet Cakes has many other offerings and I will happily and confidently order from Sweet Cakes in the future.
We tried a few different cake tastings in Seattle and we knew Sweetcakes was different the moment Dena invited us for an in person cake tasting. Her shop smelled like delicious cake as we walked in and she baked us three different mini cakes to try. Dena is down to earth, honest, and you can tell she loves what she does. She asked us how we met and really got to know our vision and desires for our wedding cake. It was easy planning with her since we were out of state, she answered our calls and has amazing follow through. We ended up going with a 4 tier white cake with white butter cream frosting and homemade strawberry filling. It was to die for, moist, and baked to perfection. She was so helpful and attentive during the whole process and she made our vision come to life. Everyone at the wedding raved about the cake and had seconds. She even made sure we had a jar of strawberry jam to enjoy later. I would give Dena 20 stars if I could and we would recommend her shop to anyone looking for a unique and heartfelt experience. I am definitely coming back! Thank you again to her and her team for making our wedding day unforgettable.

Sweet Cakes was a top notch experiences for my husband and I during our wedding. The owner, Dena, was so kind and thoughtful. Very easy to communicate with and listened to us wholeheartedly. Our cake was everything we dreamed of and more. We wanted a small cake for just the two of us, but still wanted it to feel elegant and a central piece to our wedding. The cake we received was exactly that. Dena worked with us to create our dream cake and we are so thankful for her and her team!

Cupcake was way too sugary.Service: service was polite and done with a smile and we appreciated that.Price: pretty expensive for the food quality and they tack on some convenience charges.Hope the taste gets better - I do want to support our local bakeries.
