I didn't see a sign for it being closed, yet Google tells me it's open today.

I came inside the restaurant to order and pick up and was greeted with the best customer service. The gentleman that helped me was very quick and friendly. The space was very clean and the customers seemed happy and chatting with employees.

This place opened a couple of years ago. My parents live nearby and always talk about going but were hesitant because of the reviews. I thought we shouldn't judge it without trying it but I'm afriad that was my worst mistake in a long time. Mom and I decided to go in. We didn't get greeted for an awkward length of time after walking in, but the table side service was good. Unfortunately the food was horrid. It took 17 minutes to come out and was somehow still flavorless, bland, dry, and somehow the chicken tasted like tuna. Like I swear up and down it was tuna from a can. My mom and I took literally one bite and then asked for a box. The beans and rice were horribly dry. The fish tacos we got were room temperature small bits of fish covered with a huge glop of what looked like thousand island dressing, but it didn't taste like it. The tortilla part of the taco was slimy on the outside somehow. I genuinely feel bad because if the food we're good then it has potential to be another Plaza Garcia, it's got the atmosphere and friendly staff, but the food... So bad. Aside from the chips as salsa appetizer, that was decent. But leftover microwave taco bell would be a better substitute for their entrees. They'd mentioned they just got a new chef. I'm not sure where they found this chef but they need to keep looking or hire another one. I would even argue that most armature Mexican home cooking would be better than this place because even if it was bad, it wouldn't be old tasting and flavorless. I really hope they can figure out how to serve more fresh tasting authentic food because it's such a convenient location, it would be nice to go back. Also one other thing, no customers in the restaurant, 5 staff sitting at a table doing nothing when we walked in, meanwhile the bathrooms had NO paper products. No TP, no seat covers, no paper towels. What are the employees hired to do exactly? I'm convinced this place stays afloat because they have a profitable food truck they run on the side.Edit: just realized they charged us $13 for a burrito. The menu said $11.99 . Also there is a random 4% convenience fee???Edit #2 for the owner: First of all, disrespect like that alone will lose you business. Secondly, I love Taqueria El Riconsoto. I've been to Mexico city, LA, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo. I've never had mexican food as bad as the slop you served me. There is a reason over 20% of your reviews are one star, and it's not the customer, pandejo.Edit #3 owner deleted his comments and then reported my pictures so you cant see price on receipt next to the menu price which was in clear contradiction.

We had a great lunch at their taco truck a couple years ago, so decided to give their restaurant a try. After each of four visits we thought that the restaurant was a disappointment and that we were never going again, but kept wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt. After today's visit I think we're done. We drove out of our way to the restaurant and they were randomly closed at lunchtime with no signage or any other indications of what was going on. The space is cavernous and not utilized well. The service has been markedly underwhelming, especially given that we have often been the only party there. The food in the restaurant is inferior to that of the simple burrito from their taco truck. They now also have a "needs improvement" warning sign from the health department. Given other health-related comments from other diners, this seems concerning. We really want to like their restaurant, but we've given them more than enough tries. I hope they are able to straighten out their issues, but it's been a while now.

My husband and I had eaten here a couple of times, and were actually really happy. When it came time to book our caterer for our wedding, we decided to go with them because they were super close to our venue, quick to respond and very easy to book! I was very pleased!Big mistake.Fast forward to our wedding. We’re in the middle of taking pictures and I find out they aren’t there yet. I had confirmed that they would be arriving by 2pm, and it was 2:30. I had many amazing people jump in and start resolving. No one at the restaurant seemed to know where any of the trucks were. They finally arrived around 3:30, did one run around and had left by 4:30. No discount, some of my guests wanted more food (because the serving sizes were quite small) but they were told no. So upsetting.Fast forward even more and the news article comes out about the food-born illness that broke out from one of their trucks. Several of my guests called me and were furious, as they had kids that could have been sick. I’ve worked in food service many years and know the dangers of what can happen with poor food handling. I had children, elderly and immune-compromised guests. I find myself so fortunate that no one got sick at my wedding, but it’s safe to say I will never step foot in this place ever again.

I really wanted to like this place, it's walking distance from my house. Would be great to have a taco and a beer and watch the game. We've tried it twice once when they first opened and again this summer. Food was not good either time.

Do yourself a favor and check the king county department of health. Many violations and the latest event got 34 people sick at IHS.

My husband and I went in to eat here for lunch, we were the first ones in the door but waited over a half and hour for our food. Other people recieved their food before us. When we got our food, it was very bland. The eggs didn't have any salsa, old beans. Huevos estrellados (eggs with beans). Our other plate had un cooked meat even after having it cooked the second time andgave us only 2 cold tortillas for both our meals. She even said that the steak is usually cooked meduim rare but in most restaurants the server asks what they want or fully cooks the meat. For the server she keep say how short staffed they were and their cook is new, which is fine but I didnt go there for her to complain to me. Im on my luch break to have a relaxing meal. I could hear her yelling at the cook to hurry up in the back. Complaining that he doesnt speak english and she doesnt know spanish. Im sorry but maybe if they hired a server that could speak some spanish the comunication would be better( it is a mexican restaurant). I felt sorry for the cook. If he isnt experienced they should have paired him with another cook.My husband didnt say anything and left with no fuss. I dont write reviews but this was the worst restaurant we have been to.Well I wish I read the reviews before hand.

Do yourself a favor and get the refried beans with chorizo infused in them. Those beans are delightful!

Only people in the building and cant even get a new beer kinda ridiculous for your waiter to care more about his phone then taking care of the only costumer in the building
