Who knew a French bakery would have the world’s best pesto. The egg, cheese, avocado, and pesto breakfast croissant is so, so good.

Bakery items were great! Honey cake was delicious and spinach tart was a nice little lunch treat. Coffee was good too.

I got a 12 oz latte and a salmon crepe.
I was somewhat disappointed with the latte. It was rather bitter and while the mug might have been a 12 oz one, it was rather far from being filled. I think more milk would have helped on both fronts.
The crepe itself was pretty good. There was a decent amount of salmon in it. However, the tomato chunks were so big and numerous, that they overwhelmed the taste, made the crepe a bit soggy, and also rapidly cooled it down. The plate could have also been bigger - the food barely fit on it, so eating was a bit annoying.
Service was very friendly and quick with the orders. Great job!
The café itself was spacious and pretty quiet with no TVs, which is great. There's also plenty of space between the tables, so it should be easy to navigate with a wheelchair. It could use a bit of renovation, though. The wide open space where you can see and hear everything happening in the kitchen makes it uncozy. The vibe is closer to a student cafeteria, than a quiet café.
Considering the above, the price/quality ratio could be better in my opinion.
Parking: There's plenty of free parking spaces in the library parking across the street.
Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance and the whole restaurant is flat with plenty of space between the tables.

Almond croissant, cheese danish and mozzarella pesto tomato sandwich were all so tasty. Egg&cheese crepes mediocre.

Ordered Savory Crepe with Egg, Avocado and Cheese, paid about 20 dollars for it alone, it was basically all melted Costco mozzarella cheese, little trace of avocado and egg, definitely took its toll on my digestive system with all that cheese. I feel sick in my stomach! Should have cost half of what I was charged for it. I had also ordered a latte and asked if I could get hot water on the side, they were so reluctant to give me hot water. not sure why. not nice.

Robust and above and beyond customer service. Great location and their raspberry croissant is to die for. Love that a small business still cares for people. Will definitely go again.

When you open a dictionary and look for the definition of 'Cafe', this place is the picture you'll see next to it.
Food: Absolutely top tier, everything is made in store. A large variety of baked goods from croissants to jam filled bread and danishes. All the lunch items are made by a chef in the back, and he personally hands things off to you and will make sure you are taken care of.
Coffee: Every coffee item on the menu is my favorite. Seasonal items taste even better.
Vibe: The peak example of what a Cafe should be, look at any photos of coffee cups in a warehouse store and that's the aesthetic this place brings, again this is the definition of a Cafe.
I feel that you owe it to yourself to eat and drink here at least once. The pricing is so good, and you'll spend 30$ max on a strong lunch.
The Kirkland Bakery is my #1 favorite coffee shop in ALL of Washington.

Delicious and fresh pastries, also have pancakes, which we really like. Coffee is ok, but not amazing. The renovation and style of the premises are long outdated and there are very few tables and they are also very old.
Kid-friendliness: the food is suitable for children

My original 5-star review is over 6 years old and needs an update.
They still have really good, crispy plain croissants. However, recently the prices have gone out of hand. I don't want to pay over $6 for a plain croissant.
A similar size/quality croissant is sold for $3.30 at the French Bakery in Crossroads, or at the Farine Bakery in Bellevue, which I find reasonable.
