The food here is great. Can’ beat the outdoor patio and the water views both in the summer/fall. Can get super busy during the summer though. Washingtonians want to be out and eat outside as much as possible when the weather is warm.

I ordered the 4 piece fish and chips. I feel like the chef accidentally dropped the salt shaker in the food. It was not enjoyable to eat such a salty food.
Service was horrible. No utensils. I go to get some from the designated tray but I’m stopped by the owners/ managers .
He tells me I can’t touch the area since customers often touch all the pieces. I think that’s a great idea. I ask him why it was not brought to me with my food. No answer.
Very rude. I’m so sorry that I gave them my business.
Please save yourself and your money.
It is not worth it.

Great Fish & Chips by the lake on a summer evening, outdone by the charming server who brought me condiments even though it’s actually self serve across the patio. Thanks for not making me get up, my dog got to nap & I got a great dinner & nice respite, too. Been coming here since 1993, a good local place to Slip in to.

DO NOT GO!!!! For the price you pay, the service, and the food you get it’s not worth a minute of your time. We waited for over an hour to get our food, service was incredibly slow, only two cooks in the kitchen, can barely ever catch the waiters to ask for utensils or any other needs. There were tables that were served before us even though we ordered before them. The waiters also seemed bothered any time someone asked for anything. We waited for over an hour for food that is incredibly OVERPRICED and it was below average in taste. The onion rings were over salted and the burgers don’t even have sauces or flavor. I seriously do not know how a business like this is still running!!! How could you make someone wait up to an hour and a half for food?!?! If I could rate this place below one star I definitely would.

Just for me to get a burger and drink was $35?!?!?! That is insane! It was good but holy cannoli. Essentially no service. They also did not ID when we ordered alcoholic beverages which was weird

Great place to sit out on the patio, have lunch and cold bevvys, then walk through the kirkland waterfront and downtown shops. Summertime staple. The burgers are really good! Drinks are a bit pricy for the liquid yo ice ratio , but refreshing. The only hiccup in the experience at this location is the ordering and limited service after you sit down. The management explained to me it as too difficult to keep track of patrons orders and dine and dashers. Understandable, but in this area, I really don't see this as an issue if you have the proper staff on site during busier hours. This location is priced high enough and busy enough to give patrons more of a full service experience rather than us having to order on a website and or leave the table to order from the front counter. The line can sometimes get pretty long. (for lesser tech inclined customers.) Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and go here throughout the summer.

The food is fine. Fries could be more flavorful and the vegetarian patty is pretty good but falls apart on the first bite. The Thai PB&J burger is creative but I don’t get putting whole peanuts in it. Drinks are pretty good. Servers always seem very busy/rushed, but friendly. I mostly go for the vibe, sitting outside by the water.
Vegetarian options: The vegetarian burger patty is pretty good but falls apart every time. Get a fork with your burger.

One of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. If you’ve had a pleasant experience then that’s great, maybe we had different staff. Ordered my food at 7:15, wasn’t served til 7:40. Place was only half full. The service made me feel like the staff went out of their way to be rude. Tried to get a server’s attention and she held a finger up at me. Apparently a serving of onion rings is 5? Maybe that’s standard but seems skimpy to me.Asked for to-go boxes as they were closing in 20 mins and made it a point to remind all diners. Server sighed like it was such a burden on her. Then had boxes shoved in our hands. We thanked them and they walked away. No “you’re welcome” or “have a good night”. Atmosphere is nice, food is okay, service is awful. Would not return.

The Slip burger restaurant is truly exceptional. I recently had the pleasure of trying their tri-blend pasture raised beef burger and it was absolutely delicious and juicy. The beef had a rich flavor that left me wanting more. Not only was the food amazing, but the server, a kind and polite woman, made the dining experience even better. I highly recommend The Slip for anyone looking for a delicious and friendly dining experience.Only downside: My chips were overcooked and slightly burnt.
