Beautiful location with views of the lake and afternoon sunset. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the location. Burger was overcooked, and the bun was stale and falling apart. No real flavor to it. They also charge you extra for fries 🤯
Ordered a burger to go for lunch from here. I absolutely loved the food, and will be returning soon to enjoy the atmosphere and update this review.
Fun & great atmosphere with friendly staff. Located in the heart of downtown Kirkland near the Kirkland City Dock.
Wonderful outdoor seating and from some patio tables you can see both the Seattle AND Bellevue skylines! Dogs welcome.
I had to bus my own table but the food was decent.
4.5 stars; damn fine burger and fries fried JUST the way I like them, though they were too salty.
I've been told wonderful things about this place and after living in kirkland finally decided to try the food. I've also worked within the restaurant industry for the past several years, and unfortunately I was incredibly underwhelmed. For the price point I expected wonderful flavor and decent customer service. The meal for myself, my girlfriend and my child was over $80. That included 3 burgers, 2 sodas and 1 alcoholic beverage. This is also without tip because I was hoping to tip in cash after the meal. The meat seemed to have no seasoning, just quite bland unfortunately. Ordered the aloha burger, honestly the best part of it was the produce. There was almost no ability to taste the pineapple included. My lady ordered the mushroom burger, again the mushrooms and produce were great and fresh. But the meat (which as a burger, should be the most enticing part) was again underwhelming and under seasoned. And my son ordered the plain burger with cheese. He's 7, so he loved it lol. And that did make me happy.
We loved the fries, they honestly might have been the best part of the meal. Which is disappointing that they are almost $4 to add onto a meal. A burger without fries seems odd in itself. It's literally an American staple.
The onion rings were okay. Crispy and fresh, but minimal flavor overall. The buns fell apart with each bite.
No sauce provided for the onion rings except the ability to grab ketchup. All other sauce is an extra charge (Excluding mayo).
Having jones sodas was a nice touch. But having them be almost $5 each with no refill is a bit extravagant.
The beach/waterfront views is incredibly minimal considering most things obstruct the view.
I tried one of the signature cocktails available. It was essentially a version of a long island iced tea, and again unfortunately, wildly underwhelming for a $15 drink.
The staff was polite when interacted with, but being there for about an hour and not having a single person check in on us, ask about the meal, see if anything was needed or wanted was definitely a let down. There were several staff members that honestly seemed I like they didn't want to be there, and were purely there for a paycheck. Which I can understand. But again, for the pricepoint and the location we found it all very disappointing. There are SO many locations for food within rock throwing distance and I unfortunately don't see the appeal in coming back.
I hate to sound disrespectful but I'd rather go to Red Robin (which as a chain location, choosing them over an individual location genuinely breaks my heart to say), because for the same price point, we get better food and much better service. We can say the location and views are better here, but again 90% of the views are covered by trees, cars, fences etc.
Wonderful quality of produce and great fries, everything else lacks unfortunately
And considering the location and wide availability of food options, the price should accurately reflect the food.
Overall, mehh
Apparently it was not open so we went elsewhere.
fast service, great food, great location. loved the fish and chips
The food here is great. Can’ beat the outdoor patio and the water views both in the summer/fall. Can get super busy during the summer though. Washingtonians want to be out and eat outside as much as possible when the weather is warm.

I ordered the 4 piece fish and chips. I feel like the chef accidentally dropped the salt shaker in the food. It was not enjoyable to eat such a salty food.
Service was horrible. No utensils. I go to get some from the designated tray but I’m stopped by the owners/ managers .
He tells me I can’t touch the area since customers often touch all the pieces. I think that’s a great idea. I ask him why it was not brought to me with my food. No answer.
Very rude. I’m so sorry that I gave them my business.
Please save yourself and your money.
It is not worth it.

Great Fish & Chips by the lake on a summer evening, outdone by the charming server who brought me condiments even though it’s actually self serve across the patio. Thanks for not making me get up, my dog got to nap & I got a great dinner & nice respite, too. Been coming here since 1993, a good local place to Slip in to.
