Great service. There is something to be said about restaurant staff that works hard and truly adopt the role of a host. Our waiter made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped in with a big smile. IWe ordered the baby corn appetizer, and manchow soup for starters. If spicy is not your thing, then don't order these. If you like spicy, highly recommend both. For main course we ordered tandoori chicken which came on a sizzler and Apollo fish biryani. The tandoori chicken is standard fare but the Apollo fish biryani was great. All good was hot and freshly prepared. Well done Sitaar, we will be back

This is our staple restaurant for comfort Indian food. The tastes are authentic, the spice real and in the end you eat more than what you thought you could eat (it is that good!).A few recommendations: gobi manchurian (very difficult to find such good taste in while West coast), pepper chicken (just wow!), their malabar parota (I have given up on Nan). And of course the Biryani - super good (not the best, but yummy!)You can't go wrong with this restaurant. Even my 5 year old loves their food.

I have been craving a crispy dosa.Yelp brought us to Sitar. Their menu features Northern and Southern specialties. We were impressed with the warm welcome and attentive service from the get go. We ordered the masala dosa, mutton biryani, and rasmalai. The large foot long dosa was presented with coconut and tomato chutneys with a side of sambar. The dosa shell was crispy and stayed crispy overall. This is what I was looking for. The filling part wasn't soggy. The soft potato filling was well-spiced with real curry leaves, coriander, and you can taste the richness of ghee. It was terrific! You have to dine-in for dosa , otherwise the filling softens the crepe and it can get too soggy to enjoy.Their signature mutton biryani was aromatic with a good amount of meat, well portioned, and seasoned. It was not overly spiced. Really enjoyed this. The rasmalai, a soft cheese dumpling dessert with cardamom and rose water creme sauce, not sure if made in-house, made a decadent end to our meal. Tax and tip: $45 with biryani leftover for tomorrow.

We grabbed take out from here this weekend and were super impressed with the excellent flavor and quality of ingredients. We ordered online and I called in to alert them to my gluten allergy. I was happy to discover their pakora and the curries were all gf as I'd hoped. The individual answering the phone was very helpful.Stopping in to pick up the food they were not quite done yet and apologized for my wait and were very nice. The restaurant isn't particularly decorated but they had ballywood videos playing and plenty of table space.Food was so delicious once we tore into it at home. The pakora batter was so well seasoned and crispy, curries perfectly spiced. We look forward to ordering from them again soon.

Food is out of the wold. Awesome vegetarian food. Service is excellent. The place is more spacious and peaceful for larger crowds. South Indian food is excellent. I would give 10 stars if applicable. Definitely recommend this place to people who is looking for South Indian food.

We had gone to Kirkland Fred Meyer's for our weekly grocery shopping. We didn't realize how close we were to Sitar. We had it's good before once before at a party but it was our first time dining in. It was a Saturday evening and we were there around 8 pm. We got a warm welcome and a nice cozy booth. Service was very good throughout. The staff was cheerful and polite. They checked on us multiple times. They give complimentary bottled water. We ordered pepper baby corn for the appetizer. It was full of spicy flavors. For the main course we went a little over board and ordered too much food- onion kulcha, Malai kofta, dal makhani, paneer-65 biryani (they were out of veg biryani ).Biryani comes with a tiny bowl of Raita. The Raita was so good but too less compared to our big bowl of biryani. Everything we ordered was delicious, made out of fresh ingredients. For some reason we were full just after a few bites hence a lot of left over We would like to come back and try other vegetarian dishes. 5 star for service and 4.5 for food.

You guys should try this place. We're really happy and satisfied to their indian food. It really is authentic. We tried their tikka masala, butter chicken, samosa, garlic & plain naan, all of them were pretty good! The sauce for their samosa is the winner!

Talk about an amazing food find!! We were in the Kirkland area and originally was going for sushi but this place caught our eye and we had to try it! I'm so glad we did!! My personal fave was the chicken tikki marsala it was so amazing loaded with chicken and the spices were on point! It paired so nicely with the garlic naan.My husband loves Indian food and this place is now on his top list!

My family decided to try something other than burgers and fries. So glad we did. This place is hidden gem. We tried the butter chicken, chicken noodles, tandoori chicken and coconut curry. ALL AMAZING, especially with butter and garlic naan. The staff was super friendly too. We will definitely be back with friends.

I finally found a really good and authentic Indian restaurant in seatle. Lunch buffets is really delicious and bountiful and I get garlic naan if I asked without being charge extra. One of the best chicken tandoori dishes I have eaten. I will come back and try more foods. .This one could be a 5 star if I found it to be excellent liked the buffet I had.

This is only of the Indian restaurants in the kirkland area with a decent number of vegetarian options. Methi malai mutter here is absolutely delicious. The cut Mirchi is decent but I have had better. The gobi manchurian was worth a try but not something I would go back again for The veg kothu paratha though was a disappointment. It tasted bland and has a lot of cardamom in it. The service was good and timely. Overall worth a try and has a lot of vegetarian options

Mohan was a great server and gave us great service. This place is a hidden gem. We ordered the vijayawada biryani and the veg chettinaad. They also made a special bullet naan for us. The gajar halwa was great as well. Great meal w the fam!

My daughter has DoorDashed some food from Sitar in the past, and the bite I snagged was yummy and made me want more, so last night I did a pickup order of Butter Chicken. I found it was very tasty, and full of flavor. A good Butter Chicken is time-consuming to make, so I'm grateful I found a go-to place to enjoy my favorite dish!

First time here and we will definitely be coming back!!! From the initial phone order, they were super polite, patient, and clear with repeating the order back to ensure accuracy. Once we picked up, the man up front greeted us with genuine happiness and seemed very appreciative for our patronage. We ordered Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken, Garlic Naan, Cheese Naan, and Samosas, and they were ALL PHENOMENAL. With the complimentary sauces and basmati rice, this was more than enough food for the both of us, but it was so good that my wife and I feasted until every last bite was gone. We both highly recommend any and all of these items, and will most definitely be returning soon for another feast.
