Many places do fusion food, but few nail the flavor elements of both cuisines they claim to reference. Katsu Burger does. You can tell from the quality of the food that whoever designed their menu understood the highlights of Japanese flavor and put them in an American format for their diners to enjoy. Not from the state. Out visiting family. Saw the high ratings and almost did not want to believe it. Went in there ready to be super critical. The lady behind the counter was super helpful at helping us navigate the self order, and also ready for any questions. My little brother and I both ordered a combo meal with curry fries and a shake. The shake came out first and was a pretty standard milkshake, but the flavors they have to choose from are not standard. Next the main course....
Great local spot for a unique fried burger, with lots of protein options. Staff was super friendly and food arrived quick and fresh. Fries were evenly seasoned throughout, teriyaki chicken was tender and delicious, you can tell they really care. Portion sizes are huge! The coleslaw was also awesome, a fun twist on a classic. Would be back again to try more.
