Ixtapa Mexican Restaurant

Listing I picked from via DoorDash did not state no chips or salsa like the others and didn't get any, second I ordered queso dip appetizer that common sense should come with chips yet none. Plus asked for utensils none provided. Not good when you're in a hotel. Very dissatisfied

I like to put reviews like this not to put down a restaurant but to make them greater. If Ixtapa can have their cooks eat their own food once in awhile, they will find their food is very salty. I ordered the Ixtapa burrito and my wife ordered the enchilada from the lunch menu today. When we got our dish it looked so yummy. But our excitement turned to dissapointment real quick after the first couple of bites. My wife loves salty food but even for her, the enchilada was very salty. The Ixtapa burrito was even twice as salty. I hope that they will taste their own food and discover this for themselves. I would love to come back here and taste their chicken mole but I don’t want to get dissapointed for the second time. I’m really hoping that mole would be really deliceous and not taste like ton of salt was the main ingredient.

The food was great, but the ceiling was raining dirt or something all over the tables - and our lunch! The staff apologised, but didn't even offer us a discount, and continued seating customers.

Good food very big restaurant nice hosts. I love the restaurant in many ways. Family owned and when I mean family I mean the elder gentleman is allways greeting everyone. The restaurant is clean and the bathroom are nice. The drinks here are amazing and they aren't watered down. The bar is secluded which makes dinner dates quieter and bar fun a little better.

I had not been in for a while. But even though I was favorably impressed for the last 30 years by this family's presentation of Mexican food, I was blown away the other day and proud to bring my friends here. Thanks Alfredo. Mitch

I haven't been to this location in a while and was excited as we used to frquent here for great food. The food was bland and dry. I was bummed. I do love Ixtapa but will most likely visit a different location next time.

We have eaten at Ixtapa for years! It was always a favorite, however we have watched the prices go up and the quantities go down. Tonight I ordered chicken fajitas. $29.75. It came with 4 smallish flour tortillas an ok amount of chicken/veg, but literally barely enough rice for 1 taco and maybe enough beans for 2. Seriously? Stingey on the rice and beans? Those are super cheap. They also charged 50 cents for an extra salsa (small container). I get costs are going up - but to not give enough food for the 4 small tortillas? Even it out people! Oh and I took a bite and the chicken was all gristle in my first bite :(
