I feel so terrible leaving this review but unfortunately this was the most mid Mexican food I’ve had in a long time. The asada was unseasoned, and I mean it wasn’t even salted. Portions were small, but the staff seemed very nice. Would choose taco bell over this any day, I’m confident my ancestors winced at me saying that, but it’s the truth.

We got recommended to Ixtapa after a bad experience at another restaurant on my mom’s birthday. I have to say it was everything we could’ve hoped for and more. They don’t have no funny business there, it’s all straight up. Deliciously hot food that we all thoroughly enjoyed, very polite and prompt service, and a wonderful atmosphere in the bar. Ordered the Crunchy Chicken Street Tacos and those were phenomenal. At the end of our visit there, they surprised my mom by bringing her out a giant purple sombrero, a shot of tequila and a wonderfully sang birthday song for her. Made the day quite wonderful, especially after our experience at the previous restaurant just an hour prior. So so appreciate the staff in there for making it special. I would absolutely recommend Ixtapa in Lake Stevens, 5 stars!

placed an order to go, spent $50 for two people, and also tipped the staff upon pick up. ordered the queso appetizers, and the chips they gave us were obsurd. they said we would have to pay an additional 5 dollars when we asked for another bag of chips. although they refill chips at tables, they would not do so for Togo orders. needless to say, they lost all future business from us.

I feel that if someone orders off the kids menu and there’s an up charge of 5 dollars because your not a kid, don’t bring out the same amount of food add to it, my opinion don’t let adults order off the kids menu.

My mother and I got chicken mole to go. I believe it was around 30$ a plate. What we got was basically beef jerky. It literally hurt my teeth to chew the chicken. Disgusting 🫣

$5.50 for a Tulsa of guacamole, no chips no salsa, way overpriced

We sat at the bar area and it smells like sewer. The food portions are on the smaller side than most Mexican restaurants and the atmosphere isn’t as lively or warm. I really wanted to like and support this restaurant but the smell in the restaurant put me off.

Food was ok, restaurant is oriented to American people, this is not an authentic Mexican Food, I won't come back.

Don't go there anymore after 25 years. A more personal but business related dispute with the owner Francisco. It's been about 5 years now but I marked EVERYTHING a 5 because it ALWAYS was. I'm not sure who the winner or looser is. ? I sure do miss the best Mexican food this side of Ixtappa in Lake Steven's. Others around and good. But not the same. 5 another 5 and another 5.
Salsa is the BEST in the entire world.

I placed an order over the phone. I requested 3 meals and a quesadilla. The online pricing shows the total before tax would have been close to $70 + tax. They wanted to charge $125. I asked to match the online price and was only given that for one item. The pricing was insane and the owner was disrespectful. He said I was trying to nickel and dime him and he could make the pricing whatever he wanted. I left without the food. I’m on vacation and will never come back. But for those who don’t know deceptive pricing is illegal. Look into it. The practices of this restaurant are not legal.

I am beyond dissapointed in Ixtapa! Over the last year changes have been going on (management etc..)but tonight was the final straw. My fiance and I both got dishes with "ground" beef. We both agreed it tasted more like sloppy joe mix! I already feel ill. Our dinner was $50!!! I wont be back
