“All I have to say is the Salmon Tornado is amazing! And so is everything I have tried, the Pork Raman the broth almost had a creamy texture with big slices of pork and it was very filling, I ordered the Tofu salad and it had tons of avocado and a delicious dressing, Met the owner and he definitely has the pride of ownership, One thing to note this place is very small but worth the wait.”
“The service was amazing. I'm guessing it was the owner. I was talking to and she was an absolute sweetheart and took the time to explain all the dishes. I didn't get her name. But she looked like mom and possibly daughters working. They were all absolutely so sweet and the food. Oh my god out of this world Highly recommend. The chicken was crispy just like the picture and cooked perfectly Probably could have gotten A better picture but it was absolutely amazing delicious. Next time i'm gonna get the burger”
“This is now one of my favorite Italian restaurant. Amazing in every aspect( food, service, ambience ). Chicken Rosso was amazing, so is lemon chicken Italiano both are must try. Alfredo pasta also tasted great, also tried chicken sub which is good too. The portions are generous, and the sides, including garlic bread and Caesar salad, are also delicious. I’m definitely coming back if back in town. Our waitress, Kara, did an incredible job ensuring we had everything we needed to enjoy our dinner.Kid-friendliness: They have kids menu items like kids pasta and all”
“A home run everytime I go. They do everything Right. The food, drinks, service etc. we always bring people here that have never been and they leave saying “we always want to go here when we come visit” kudos to the LJ’s/Pines family! Oh, see you again VERY soon.”
“Very friendly, fresh food, very efficient, and I have frequented many Vietnamese places... this is the top 3!!!! Highly recommended!!!! Never disappointed, and I have gone Here over 100 times. BEST VIET/THAI restaurant in lake stevens!!!!!!”
“Here's a funny story....Brace yourself, it will be long. To be respectful of the owner, owners, whatever it may be, I am omitting names and locations. Anyway...I used to order Teriyaki regularly during my lunch break from a specific location in WA. I loved the taste and the portions of this particular place. I LOVED this place. I ate Teriyaki exclusively at THIS place. If I wanted Teriyaki on a weekend, I would drive 25 minutes to get it from THIS place.I would always order this specific order: Chicken Breast Teriyaki, no salad, extra rice, and a side order of gyoza, no drink. I know, that's a lot of food for a dude 5'8" at a buck fifty, but I can put it away, especially during a cheat meal.Overtime, I would order, and the person on the line would say. "David? 15 minutes." So she got to know me through my repetitive and specific order.I loved the taste of the food. Everything. The portions are huge. You don't see that very often....Large portions and good food. It's typically either good food, small portions or bland food, large portions. Not here, which is why they earned my exclusive business. She also always included a drink and didn't charge me for it.This went on for years until one day, I noticed a sign on the door that they would be closing. I was pretty sad about it, but I just kind of accepted it as a lot of my favorite food places in that area also were closing. I also am not the best at dealing with grieving people or sad situations.I only ate Teriyaki a handful of times after that for the next 4-5 years. Typically out of necessity when I didn't bring a lunch, but only a handful of times and always disappointed they could not hit the bar I was used to.This was about 10 years in total.Recently, about a year ago, I was sitting on a the sofa and thinking about what I should have for a cheat meal....Scrolling and thinking, "No, no, no. None of these places will do." I started having flashbacks of the Teriyaki and Gyoza that I used to have.I decided to give it another go.I called up my local place in Lake Stevens "Teriyaki Diner." I ordered Chicken Breast Teriyaki, no salad, extra rice, a side order of gyoza, no drink."I kid you not, the woman on the line says, "David?"I can't tell you the euphoria, excitement, and shock I was feeling all at the same time. I had a minor existential crisis before I answered, "Yes!" There wasn't much you could say to me at this time to bring me down.We both kinda laughed it off before confirming my order. I went and picked it up as usual. Same place. Same great food. Same great people.Anyway....been ordering regularly again ever since. Love this place.PSTeriyaki is a great choice if you are on a diet and feeling naughty. Not sure who needs to hear that, but you are welcome.”
“We ordered the fish and chips and the fish was delicious and the fries were hand cut and tasty. The only thing we didn't like was that there was garlic in the slaw and it was off putting to the point we couldn't eat it. Other than that, it was great!”
“Would like to know if the lady who was kind enough to help me back out onto the rd. Is still working here. I was hoping to thank her personally. Thanks!Parking: Tight quarters for a big rig pulling a 53' trailer”

“Loved finding this wine bar I didn't know existed. Cool, modern decor, clean, very friendly staff. Great wine and food selection. Events throughout the week and weekend brunch. My new favorite Happy Hour spot. You have to try it out- you will be pleasantly surprised ?”
“We moved away 5 years ago and recently moved back. This was one of our first visits and the food is just as good and the staff are just as nice! Quick with pick-up orders and the drive-through is very easy and nice!”
“Love the food haven't had anything I haven't liked! Love the milkshakes! Food is always hot and delicious! Employees are nice and typically pretty quick getting you through nothing to complain about here! Bonus when it's nice grab your food and go sit by the lake”
“Service, food, ambiance of restaurant was very nice. I called an order in for pickup. Ordered spicy teriyaki and vegetable fried rice. She asked for me to pay cash and I did to help them with business. They have been located here in Lake Stevens for 20+ years. My first time trying and they didn't disappoint. I've had a lot of teriyaki in my life and when I showed up to pick up she opened the boxes and showed me and offered to put sauce on my white rice served with the spicy teriyaki and I said yes and so glad I did. Sauce homemade from here was delicious. Everything was spot on, hot and taste was delicious. Try them! Huge dining room with lots of extras like tea and water and very friendly staff.”
“We get pizza from South Lake almost once a week. I have been ordering from them for about 14 years and today's delivery was the best experience I have had with them. We ordered 2 pizzas one Cheese for the kids witch the kids and their friends loved. 2 had never had pizza from South lake before and the really liked it. The other pizza was the Big Ben also amazing. But the part that was the BEST was the one and only time I have ordered pop from them they called and told me they were out of Dr Peper and they only have Mt Dew (didn't want that) and he said he would talk to the manager on what they could do. He showed up at my front door with a Dr Pepper that he stopped by the store and picked up! Now that is customer service!”
“If you're looking for high-end gourmet food that is always more than delicious in little Lake Stevens Washington LJ's bistro and Bar is the only place to go.They always have extremely good ingredients and menu items to choose from but not overwhelming. Their bar staff serves exotically delicious drinks that have very beautiful presentation. It's a very exciting and fun place to eat and the staff is very friendly. It's awesome to see the kitchen staff at work buzzing around making their what I would like to callFOOD ART.If you're looking for a piece of meat or just a burger it is all absolutely delicious!!!Dietary restrictions: I have some very strict dietary restrictions and LJ's is one of the only places that we can go that doesn't make me sick because they use such great ingredients.Parking: We've always had pretty good luck with grabbing a parking spot even when they're busy but at times it seems like the parking lot is really full and the last time we were there our friends that were with us discovered that if you go straight back and around the back of the building complex there's a whole parking lot in the rear on the west side...”
