Japan Teriyaki & Roll

Stopped in on a Friday evening, dine in and it was wonderful. Small dining area with the basics but is so clean. The dine-in area just had one other couple but the to-go orders were plentiful. The owners greeted everyone with sincerity and all the to-go peeps seemed to be regulars. We enjoyed a chicken bento box and an order of the orange chicken. Both were played well and tasted amazing. So fresh! Japan Teriyaki was a great surprise find tucked away off of 20th.

I ordered the Mongolian Beef and the Chicken Yakisoba. It came with one salad that was ok. First thing I noticed is that the prices are higher than other Teriyaki’s in the area, because the portions are so small. Taste and authenticity were also lacking as well. My to go order did not come with napkins or utensils. I did ask for some spicy sauce (of any kind) and the lady pointed me to the $1.50 container that she could provide for me. As a first time customer, I am returning to Midori (downtown) right away. Too bad, I really wanted to like the place.

Don't order the avocado roll. Unlike the menu description it only has avocado. When I called to ask they said it only comes with avocado. When I told them the menu description is wrong then they told me to go the menu on Facebook, which this item is not even on. Terrible customer service. Fix your menu

Completely bland. Sauce that came on the side was watered down with no flavor. Chicken did not come with sauce on it at all. Gyoza was soggy.

We had the shrimp tempura roll, spicy tofu and gyoza plate lunch special. Food was great, rice was perfect and the staff were friendly and patient. We will definitely be coming back!

Consistently good food. Its nothing suuper gourmet or fancy and its a standard Japanese restaurant. Its Been here along time, the owners are very friendly, and its clean inside.I particularly enjoy coming here and getting some sushi platters and a side salad. Ive had there teriyaki and noodle dishes which are good as well. I don’t think I've ever had anything bad here.Ive Been coming here for years and I appreciate the consistency in food, friendliness, and prices are fair.
