The fish from the soft tofu is brought to me when I pay, and all the workers impress me, and the kitchen starts grinding something, and I found out that I was eating at the construction site. It was the worst service.

Took away the sauce for our meal without one single question
Having attitude when we asked to refill side dishes
Throw the paper to us while demanding tips for their bad services
I have been coming to this place for more than 10 years. Today was my last time.
I had a very disappointing experience at Cho Dang Tofu today. The service was poor; the staff took away our hot sauce bottle without even asking. When we requested more side dishes, they were unfriendly. To make matters worse, they showed a bad attitude when we didn't leave a tip due to the poor service. I would not recommend this place.

My recent experience at this restaurant was unacceptable.
While ordering soft tofu soup,
I made a simple and reasonable request:
to have the egg added in the kitchen so it would be fully cooked, as I do not eat runny yolks.
The waitress was informed this was not possible and that the egg would be an extra charge.
I clearly stated that I had no issue paying the additional fee.
What followed was not a matter of policy, but of attitude.
The waitress responded in a dismissive and confrontational manner,
raising her tone and insisting the kitchen was too busy, as if the request itself were unreasonable.
There was no attempt to provide a professional explanation, no effort to maintain basic courtesy, and no apology afterward.
This was not simply poor service.
It reflected a lack of fundamental customer service standards.
Busy operations do not justify disrespectful behavior.
Staff who are unable to communicate professionally with customers should not be placed in customer facing roles.
I expect management to take this matter seriously.

The place is nice and clean. I like the fact that you get your rice in a bowl stone so its stays warm for a long time. The down side of the bowl stone is that the rice sticks to the sides and its hard to get off. The beef short ribs and pork bulgogi is really flavorful. The beef bulgogi could use a little more flavor but was not bad at all. Tried a tofu soup and it was delicious. The people are nice and your food comes out pretty quick. You get tea when you get seated at your table which is nice. Diffinetly a place to try. They have a selection of tofu dishes if you like tofu.

They were short staffed which is totally fine! My problem is NOT the fact that me and my mother had to refill our own teas, and water. Nobody checked on us once. At the end of the day not that big of a deal to us. The PROBLEM is at check out my mother gave a cash tip. The lady demanded my mother give more of a tip on the card or cash. My mom explained that the service was poor etc, and she tried to BULLY my mother into tipping more!!! This went on for FIVE MINUTES. They where speaking Korean so I was unsure of what was going on but once my mother told me and my mother added the tip to the receipt I grabbed it scratched it out and gave her the regular tip. Nobody demands a tip and nobody BULLYS a senior. We will never return and no one else should!!

I was told this is the better soon tofu restaurants in the area. I am glad I chose this Korean restaurant because it looked legit. They serve rice in the stone pots; the patrons are actually Korean; their side dishes actually taste good.
I got the dumpling / mind soontofu, but there were only 3 dumplings. How sad. I should have gotten beef soon tofu. I also got an order of kalbi, which was pretty good. It was served over a bed of grilled onions on a hot sizzling plate.
The servers are Korean ahjummas, and they do take their sweet time serving everyone. Actually, there was only one poor lady serving the entire dining room on a Saturday afternoon.
Plenty of parking in the lot
Credit card/Apple Pay accepted
No outdoor seating

I hate Tofu, but interestingly enough it wasnโt so bad. The combo special had a great portion for sides and entree. The atmosphere was calm and chill. Nice please to eat on a rainy day.
