Been coming here since 2016. Iâve spent hundreds of dollars here already. Many many birthdays, corporate, casual, and catchups were spent here. And always had great experiencesâuntil today.
Our food took about 25 minutes to arrive, and a few items were missing, which I had to follow up on. Not a big issue on its own, but what really concerned me was finding flies crawling around in a few of the side dishes. Still, we didnât make a fuss.
After the meal, I went up to pay. I always tip, even when the service is lacking. Our bill was around $45, and I had a $10 bill ready to leave in cash, so I selected âno tipâ on the card reader. Thatâs when the staff member said, âNo tipâ I assumed she was acknowledging the poor service and telling me not to tip, so I said âokayâ and got ready to leave. But then she repeated, âThis doesnât include tip,â which made it clear she was trying to pressure me into tipping. Super unprofessional and distasteful.
I left without tipping and wonât be returning. After todayâs experience, neither I nor my friends or family will be coming back.

If youâre looking for some good authentic Korean cuisineâŚâŚ youâve found the right place!
They offer from tofu- beef- chicken dishes!
We ordered a combo dish - tofu beef soup & beef short ribs. Also an order of bulgogi. It was definitely enough food for my husband, my little one and me.
They offer some warm tea and you have to request water. You wait to be seated. During lunch time is extremely busy! So if youâre hungry there may be a wait.
Everything was so delish we will definitely be returning back!

If you're craving authentic Korean flavors, this restaurant delivers a genuine experience that truly transports you to the heart of Korea. From the moment you step in, you know this place isn't catering to a typical Americanized palate. The menu is thoughtfully curated with traditional dishes that reflect the diversity and depth of Korean cuisine.
One of the standout features of my visit to Cho Dang Tofu was the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and made to feel incredibly welcome. The servers were attentive without being intrusive, always ready to offer recommendations and answer questions about the menu. They really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, and their knowledge of the dishes and ingredients was impressive.
What truly set the staff apart was their genuine enthusiasm for the food and the culture. They were eager to share the story behind some of the dishes, adding a personal touch to the dining experience. It was clear they take great pride in their work and are committed to providing excellent service. Every interaction was courteous and thoughtful, which really enhanced the overall experience.
Itâs not often you come across such a well-coordinated and friendly team, and it made our visit to Cho Dang Tofu that much more memorable. The staff truly adds to the charm of the place, and I can't wait to return.
This is as close as you can get to eating in Korea without boarding a flight â a must-try for any Korean food enthusiast.

Had lunch there while I was in Lakewood. Meal was ok but loaded with MSG. I had the kimchi tofu soup. Waitress not very friendly.
