We usually go to a Korean bbq in federal way but since we were in Tacoma decided to look for a place here and came across BBQ house. Great place and good service, a little over priced ($50 per person) but didn't have to wait and place is clean and staff is friendly!The only thing I didn't like was that this is not a buffet style where you grab all you can eat instead they bring the food to you which limits you to actually see all they have and the different options of food available.

For a friends party he wanted Kbbq so I gave the place a second chance but even worse. The pork belly wasn’t even pork belly. The brisket was okay but the service? HORRIBLE. I don’t understand how this place has a good review when it really isn’t all that. Older Korean women gave me attitude because I was a bit late to my reservation but no one was inside and I apologized. Serving us, no one gave us a menu for 30 minutes so I walked to the front desk and got it myself and everyone else. We had to walk to the front desk to order everything because of the horrible service and we haven’t eaten for our 90 minutes like the rules of the AYCE states. Within in hour she says “last order no more you can’t order anymore”. This place is fair horrible and quality is bad and pricey for what you get. Never would recommend or come back to. Also they never changed our grill and we had to ask multiple times.

The service was great. Loved the music. Wasn't busy and the owner was so nice to us. She was visiting with us and overall was a very good atmosphere. Would go back. Kind of speedy cost us almost 200 for all you can eat for 4 people.

This place was such a charming hidden delight. I am from California and looking to get a bbq fix in or near Tacoma. I found this place and decided to give it a go with a few friends. The food was delicious and the meat was great! (To be honest their selections of sides had me hooked from the beginning) everything was just so tasty. The service was also good, the lady who helped us was so sweet and funny, which definitely made this an experience. If I return to Tacoma for work again, they can definitely expect me to drop by!

Came here for Korean bbq, food portions were little for a so called buffet, my issue was with the waitress. she was very rude she tried to stop our food from coming after 60 minutes of being there the sign says you have 90 minutes she tried to short us 30 minutes lied and said our time was up just to get us out as soon as possible, we tried to wave her down multiple times to get refills on the meats as they are portion controlling all the food she saw us and kept walking I don't know why they call it a buffet there's not a food bar everything was on a menu and you have to order it accordingly I wouldn't go there again instead I'll make a further drive to federal way to get better food and service save your time and money stay away from this place horrible customer service and food way given in stingy little portions.

Update: Still amazing and delicious! Great quality for the price. I’ve visited countless times since they opened and they have improved so much. Highly recommended. Owner is great!I just found out about this place! Their AYCE BBQ meat quality is better than some of other places I’ve been to in my opinion. Their marinated meat is really good. The side dishes are amazing and fresh. Their naengmyun (cold buckwheat noodle soup) is the best especially when weather gets hot. Recommend to try it!

This place is overrated, in my opinion. They only have a few meat selection for the price of $39/ adult. They only serve 1 plate of free beef short ribs, $10/plate if you want more. Side dishes are average. But, the service is good. The staff are nice and attentive.

BEWARE SCAMMERS!!!Not greated when we arrived the actual seating was akward with our server pretending not to speak English as was the ordering.. pay attention when you order , both me and my friend had been under the impression we are ordering per meat not all you can eat .. since our server didn’t speak English well we could not figure that out from the odd pricing of the menu.Noticed other people that speak the language getting served huge portions and also getting served drinks . Server came processed to mumble more jibberish and I said I’d like a sprite and the server proceeded to point at the menu on the wall and I said we’d both like sprite please and she bowed and got sprite indicating she does understand. Went to pay since nobody brought us a check and the lady magically speaks English and says clearly oh wow you barely eat anything me and my buddy look at each other confused and puzzled and she give him the 100$ bill while I’m thinking in my head I’m still hungry . I ask the lady what is it that those people are eating? You know the giant portion she instantly can’t speak English again and proceeded to push a calculator infront of me as if ready to dispute the charges and defend her actions… not a good place to come food wasn’t good and they are completely scamming the unaware customers.Karma finds all .

Awesome Korean BBQ, I just had Dinner with my Brother here and the service was great! Despite us being kind of chatty during our meal, our waitress was tentative and very kind! Not to mention the food here was very flavorful and delicious, sometimes what makes a good really good restaurant is the people who serve you. Come here if you like good food and friendly people (:
I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT. The food is really really really good - much better than some other more highly rated kbbq places in the area. The restaurant itself isn't super fancy, but who cares when the staff is so responsive and friendly and welcoming, and the food is sooooo good?! Not just the bbq is good - last time I also got the soft tofu stew and it's so delicious, just the right amount of spicy. So glad to have found this place! Highly recommended!

Party of 5 enters the restaurant, we get seated by an employee. Employee gives us the menu, then minutes later says the KITCHEN is unable to give us service because it's a busy night. Didn't appreciate being welcomed in, then being told about the kitchen situation. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Really enjoyed our time here! Came in for late lunch with my sister and husband. Side dishes were delicious I particularly enjoyed the fish cakes, out of all the marinated meats we tried here my favorite were the beef short ribs. Cute hole in the wall! Very kind to my son and nephew, owners were very sweet. Will return and highly recommend. A little on the pricey side but worth it! For three adults ayce and 2 large beers after tax it was 140.
